In reality you would only need 50 MR nights to qualify for gold = 1 additional "Plat" year in the combined program. But since you're 91 nights short in your case, that doesn't matter.

Best option in your case would be to get 10 EQN per meeting with Rewarding Events. You have until the 17th to get your 9 meetings completed:

Platinum Status in Eight Days and $800 - No Stays Required
Just to expand on the question of using 100 nights to get a year in MR and a year in SPG, remember that you can't "double dip" on platinum years. In order to get the 9th plat year in SPG and 1st year in MR, Parikh1234 would need to do 50 nights in MR and 25 stays (or 50 nights) in SPG to qualify in each legacy program, and would need to make sure that the total nights gets you over the 750 night barrier. So yes, with 100 nights, it is possible to get to LTPP, but you would need to sweat the details.

If I have a stay from the 17-20th with for two rooms, will I earn two room stay credit on the 17th, the entire stay, or none at all?

You should get points, but no bets on night/stay credit. I would not expect any sort of split and credit based upon check-out date. You might be able to get them to do a "one-time exception" (that seems to happen a lot) by calling in a week or so later and nicely asking.

In some places they serve whisky at wakes. I'll be in a Westin on August 18. Let's hope for some free whisky.

I'll be at a Hyatt on August 18th, where I plan to enjoy (free) drinks in the lounge (Asia).

have a question for the lurkers....i have a one night stay on the 17th followed by another one night stay on the 18th at another property....i have booked 3 rooms each at both properties....if i understand the rules correctly then i should get 3 nights credit & points for all 3 rooms for the reservation on the 17th but only 1 night credit & points for all 3 rooms for the reservation on the 18th....is this correct????
