What am I entitled to? SPG Gold - booked via BA Holiday's

My partner and I are staying in NYC for 6 nights in December at the W on Lexington Ave. We booked the trip via BA Holiday's in CW using avios upgrade from WT+. Through our Amex Platinum account I have received gold status for SPG. What perks will this bring us, if any as booked via agent?

I believe BA Holidays hotel booking is treated like an OTA. I think you will probably get nothing. But it is up to the hotel's discretion.

You are entitled to the room you booked and nothing more.

The W New York on Lexington is no longer part of the W brand. It is still an SPG (Marriott) hotel as part of Tribute Portfolio. Yes

IF the booking is actually a third-party booking (note, some TAs, i.e. Concur isn't) then you are not "entitled" to SPG benefits. However, if you ask nicely and show your SPG card (or smartphone equivalent) the property can choose to extend onsite benefits. Being a Tribute property may greatly reduce what will be delivered, not that much is usually available at Ws.

I walked by the former W New York on Lexington this past weekend. New signs are up. It’s now The Maxwell.
