Smile Does a 2 bedroom suite earns double the nights or counted as 1 ?

Hi all,

Just wanted to check whether a 2 bedroom suite will be considered a 2 night stay ? I'm looking into accumulating my nights and will be discouraged if the 2 bedroom suite is counted only as a single night stay.

Thank you for answering my question.

The key was in your description. A two bedroom suite. Not two, and not suites. One room. One stay. One night credit per actual night.

Thanks for the good chuckle this morning when I read your question! I thought I had heard them all. If a SPG newbie had asked this I could have understood but you say you're Platinum in your profile.

What if it's a double bed room though? Two beds, two nights, right?

Why should a 2 bedroom suite count as 2 nights?

FWIW *some* two bedroom suites are created by taking a one-bedroom suite and then attaching an adjoining room. In those instances, it may be the case the hotel blocks it out as two separate rooms, although they generally list it that way in the inventory/reservation as well. Can't hurt to call and ask the property.

I've had a few rooms that shared an entryway. If it was booked as a suite, then you'd close off the entryway door and leave the room doors open, if you wanted. Otherwise, each room key was able to open the entryway door and your room. I guess the bottom line would be if they billed it as one suite or two rooms. I can't see their system being capable of granting double credit for a single booking. And I would imagine a rate saving booking it as a suite instead of two rooms.
