Can we have some clarification on how the points are earned? Is it:
A)
1 - 0 points
2 - 0 points
3 - 750 points
4 - 1000 points
...
B)
1 - 0 points
2 - 0 points
3 - 250 points
4 - 500 points

The LC Elephant Weimar cannot be a participating hotel... It is closed for months and will be an autograph collection hotel in case of reopening...

I would like to know the answer to this too. My second stay will be 8 nights (my first being only 1 night) so hope to get some of the bonus points from that stay.

I'm not entirely clear on the wording. Does it mean that only 3+ night stays are eligible for bonus? Or, in the other extreme, are 1-night stays eligible, starting from the 3rd stay?

"Register for SPGŪ More Nights, More StarpointsŪ by June 30, 2018. Then starting on your third night, youll earn 250 bonus Starpoints for each night* you spend at participating SPG hotels and resorts from April 16 through July 20, 2018."
"Beginning on the third eligible night, Registered Members may earn 250 bonus Starpoints per night within the earning period at SPG hotels and resorts participating in the Promotion up to a maximum earning of 12,000 bonus Starpoints."
So, to be fair to SPG-Marriott, this looks at least better than was earlier speculated here. If I understand it correctly, almost every night in the period will earn a 250 point bonus, with the exception of the first two nights (this kind of late start seems to be something Marriott have brought over). So, if you do 10 eligible nights in the period, you will get 8 x 250 bonus points (i.e. 2,000). Still the worst promotion I've seen from SPG, but I could be looking at 5,000 instead of 500 I was expecting (but way below the 25,000 I've gotten used to).

Well, were worse off than the last promo for any stay costing more than $125 a night. And I dont get the purpose of the Marriott-style eligibility after two nights. Perhaps someone could explain the logic aside from reducing the value (and cost) of the promo overall.
But on the the bright side, there are many more hotels participating including Ovolo Southside in HK and the new Aloft in Guangzhou which didnt join the last one so theres some upside given that I will inevitably stay at both during the period.

I have three rooms booked for two nights (total of six nights) - will I earn any thing from this stay at all?
Subsequently, I have two rooms booked for three nights - will I earn the bonus points on both rooms or just one?
Thanks everyone!

Asking this in a factual way, not an emotional one...
Is this the worst SPG promo to date?
Again, I'm of the camp that "something is better than nothing", and I will keep staying w/Starwood no matter what. So not complaining...it is what it is.
But I am curious if any promo in the past was seen as actually worse...

Having a stay in May, which I'll have 3 rooms for 2 nights, 6 in total, I guess I still can get 4 of them for 250?
I do agree that some promo is better than no promo. However, this is still probably the worse promo I've ever seen in SPG. (not long in SPG two years or three)

I've been around for quite a while, and I believe this is about the weakest promo of any sort I have ever seen.
