2018 Q2 SPG promotion ?

I am planning for quite a few stays second half of April (after this promo is over) to early May. Has there been any indication that there will be another promo that covers this period?

Yes, there should be a promo. I would be surprised if there were a gap between promos, but there could be.

No, it hasn't leaked to Flyertalk (nor can I recall any SPG promo ever having leaked)

I would be surprised if there weren't a gap. I can't recall there ever being back-to-back promos.

You have a very short memory...

The last one ended 15 January, 2018 and the current one started on 16 January...

Maybe the Marriott influence? There's usually a gap of at least a couple of weeks, an there are always complaints on FT about it with people screaming that they'll take their 500 nights a year and $500K spend elsewhere because of it.

I believe Starwood and Marriott have their promotions linked up to run during the same time periods now. They both are running Jan 15th-April 15th! I would not expect another Starwood or Marriott Promotion to run until May 15th. So that is about a month gap! I know a lot of people in between those gaps take advantage of the time off and stay with Hilton/IHG/Hyatt.

I would be in complete shock if there was a promo that started before May 1! There will be at least a two week break from April 16th-30th. Again I would almost guarantee we wouldn't see anything until May 15h.

Marriott Last year was May 27-September 4th.
If you enroll in this promotion, you will earn 2,000 bonus points for each paid stay, beginning with your second paid stay during the promotional period. You may also earn an additional 2,000 bonus points by staying at different Marriott Rewards participating hotel brands. You will receive an additional 2,000 bonus points for each different brand that you stay in during the earning dates of the promotion, starting with the second brand.

Entirely possible @Marriott15. Although I wonder why they didn't "gap" the Christmas holidays and that 2017 gap may have precisely been done to bring the two programmes into line.

I am not going to scream either way but for now will keep duplicate reservations in SPG and Hilton to decide later where to stay.

Given the booming economy, I think whatever they have will probably get even worse.

I think they did it to bring it into line. The Jan 15 start date for both Marriott and Starwood is the first matching identical start and finish dates I have seen.
