Comments: For some people this is probably a minor thing, but one of the only things a luxury hotel can do to really annoy me is give me a smoking room that smells strongly of smoke. Even stranger, basically every category of non-smoking room and suite was available online, I wasn't checking in until after 8pm and I had booked the hotel limo from the airport so the hotel knew exactly what time I was arriving. Moved straight to a non-smoking room after going back to ask. No service recovery attempted (or attempt to ask how my stay was at check out). Just sloppy.

Comments: About a week before our stay I noticed that the hotel had pre upgraded us to a Metropolitan Suite and almost cancelled my pending SNA. Sure enough a few days later my SNA cleared and moved us down to an Astor Suite. The hotel was gracious enough to move us back to the Metropolitan. Very impressed with the top notch service at this hotel.
