Is this targeted? To whom?
Anecdotal accounts in this thread show that majority of recipients are LTP, but not all LTP have received it at this point.
Reports here indicate the package/gift is not confined to USA.

Also, some members, such as schley, reported receiving a different package as described below:

SPG parcel waiting for me at home. I'm currently in SE Asia so won't see it for another 10 days or so. LT Platinum as of last year.

THANK YOU SPG!

Received same gray pouch as others here.

Nice little gesture from SPG before the tacky Marriott people obliterate what had been a great loyalty program. I'll travel with it and be able to put it on the formica counter of a Courtyard bathroom (next to the Chinese-made soaps and plastic cups!) and remember the good old days of SPG.

This lifetime Plat 100 didn't receive anything (and my address IS in the US). Though I've never received any of these gifts... I kinda looked forward to the robe when I hit lifetime Plat mid last year. Oh well.

+1, This has nothing to do with LTP.

Seems like most of those who got it are LTP... in fact I don't recall reading that a non-LTP received it, only that some LTPs haven't gotten it...

Oh well, whether it does or not, I haven't gotten one

Not sure what you are talking about. The only thing I got was 10 SNAs, and that was a choice I made earlier this morning after holding my nose for months since qualifying.

All you have to do is scroll up to see that’s not actually the case. :-P

I apologise, but it takes a lot for me to rant over so little. I’ve been getting slighted like this for the past few years, so it makes me feel worse about my blanket loyalty to the chain over the years. That’s just me. I won’t rant in the future about these things (mostly, because there won’t be an SPG to rant towards).

I misread your post. I thought you were replying +1 to yyzprincess' post just above yours. Sorry.

No worries. I wish I could say I was used to being treated like dirt by SPG, but it still stings.

It was a very nice gift and the jars weren't small, like a medium sized jam/jelly jar. Very much appreciated.

FYI I have a US mailing address on my SPG account.

Actually I just did and only counted these two and Bhirubin who are not LTP. It's OK uxb it really is only a little grey bag . Maybe yours will turn up in a few weeks. I must agree that it's really not nice that you've received zilch all these years... message the Lurkers with your RL info... it's the last year (more or less) to do it!

I understand that it is considered a little, tacky grey bag; however, every year that SPG does this and I’m excluded, I end up feeling like Milton from “Office Space.” No one wants to be Milton from “Office Space.” Even Milton didn’t want to be Milton from “Office Space.” You know?
