I also mostly stay at Starwood and redeem at Marriott/RC, first because I usually book more than 1 room, so the extra stay/night will be credited and second because there are some great redemption for Marriott/RC in Asia, for instance Ritz Carlton Pacific Place is 30,000 Marriott points for $340 which make it more than 1 cent per points and a much better value if compared with The Westin at 12,000 SPG points for $130 room

So if I book 3 rooms in one hotel in one night under my name, I get 3 elite-qualifying stays? (At SPG...)
I know most programs give you the points for up to three rooms, and will often code keys for lounge access for the three rooms, but I was still under the impression that it was still only one EQS no matter what.

If I'm SPG Gold then I'm choosing SPG for stays and points until I reach 25 stays and Platinum. Status amplifies points earned and redeemed.
As a less frequent traveler than I used to be, stays are fewer so I'll stay at a Marriott only when a Starwood property is not available.
Status first, then points.

I think you’ll find the availability of CX F, JL F, AND EY F on AA.com to be particularly laughable. That you can book them using AA miles doesn’t mean it’s anything but outrageously rare to find that to be possible. Anyone flying AA or using AA miles already knows this to be true.
I agree that JL is much more parsimonious with F award space. And EY? I thought that went away.
