Just checked in again for my second stay in 7 days. 2/2 on zero upgrade...literally zero. I don't know why others are getting upgrades and not me?
Additionally I checked in and they didn't ask for my passport. Not sure if they took my picture from the last stay or what...i thought that was very strange.

There seems to be some variation on how the breakfast amenity is handled for Plats. It was comped for you, but a few posts back, another poster stated it was 25% off. It seems like they're still undecided on how they want to handle elite recognition. I have a stay coming up here early next year and will report back.

If the purpose is to simply track what one guest has been granted over another, then that would be appropriate. However, this - or any other Design participating property - is not obligated to give complimentary or a price break off breakfast to any elite members, including Platinums.
If I know going in that I'm always going to pay full price for breakfast, okay, fine. Or, even 25% off, sure. But in this case, it seems that this is at the complete discretion and whim of whoever is working the front desk at the time of check in.

For most of my hotel stays in the region, the hotels mostly don't ask me for passport or any other photo ID. And sometimes they don't even ask me for a bank card at check-in (at least when I'm using points for the stay). And I'm speaking even of hotel stays where the hotel staff almost definitely do not recognize my face from prior visits or otherwise.
Most of my SPG-affiliated hotel stays in Scandinavia this quarter didn't involve me showing any photo ID at check-in.

Recently had a four night stay and absolutely loved it. Room was booked in my partner's name so no platinum status involved but very happy with the Junior Suite booked. High ceilings, great design and a feel of almost low-key luxury. Absolutely loved the bed and the bathroom. Staff and location were perfect. To be honest being a new hotel I was a bit hesitant about the potential for a few teething problems but it felt like the staff had been working as a team for years. Very subjective but for me breakfast was exactly what I was after.
Sadly I can't see myself being back in Copenhagen for at least a few more years but would eagerly stay here again.

Just checked out of this hotel after a 4 night stay, and for the most part, had a very nice stay. And just to reiterate what others have said (since there were some inconsistencies in the beginning), no Platinum recognition at check-in. Booked a standard room on points and got exactly that. And no offer of free breakfast.
Some pros:
Some pros:
- Hotel is in a great location. One block over from Tivoli Gardens and two blocks over from the central train station. Also, about a 10 min bus ride to Nyhavn (the area with all the colorful buildings on the waterfront you see in pictures).
- Front desk was quite accommodating for our needs. We needed a tub to bathe our toddler, and it turns out that none of the standard rooms have tubs. Only junior suites and higher. So we spent the first night in a standard room, then they moved us to a junior suite for our remaining nights (basically just a slightly larger standard room). Having Platinum status may have helped, but nonetheless, it was nice of them.
- Could be a pro or con depending on your taste, but very modern looking on the inside, which is in sharp contrast to the exterior of the building.
- Free bike rentals.
- Free water
- On Saturday nights, around 11:45 pm, Tivoli Gardens lights off fireworks which are extremely loud, even with the windows closed, so if you’re a light sleeper, be prepared.
- There are about 7 or 8 steps leading into the hotel lobby from the sidewalk, so just be aware if you have a lot (or heavy) luggage, or traveling with a stroller, need wheelchair access, etc.
- I mentioned this in the pros, but all the standard rooms have a shower only (no tub). Tubs are only available in the suites. Just something to be aware of if having a tub is important to you.
- No in-room coffee maker. A cup of coffee is about $9 in the hotel restaurant, and about $6 or $7 outside the hotel at a local coffee shop, so it would've been nice to save a few bucks each morning.

Just a mention here
I was considering a few nights here but decided to go with Crowne Plaza a brand I don't stay within the US
The Int standards seems vastly better overseas as does Radisson Blu
The Crowne Plaza and Nobis ratings of guest satisfaction were similar
The point redemption for Crowne Plaza with my elite perks with 20% rebate brought it down to 25,000 points per night
Now mind you I am typically earning 20 points per dollar earning those staying at Inter Con properties with elite bonus and charging to the IHG visa before promotions
I can say the one feather in The Nobis cap is that they have Duxiana beds some of the best beds in the world
I've owned 4 of them in all of my homes for over 25 years
They typically start at 8000.00 US dollars and go up>I'm still itching to try a night @ the Nobis but decided against it based on the limited participation caveat
I may tour it instead and consider it for another stay

I often stayed at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia on the Amager side (Islands Brygge), now a few blocks from the Nobis. Reading the reviews of the Nobis, it really does seem that they are quite variable with what they give to Plats, so it's not the most enticing for me to stay there (proximity to downtown attractions is moot for me)... even though having Radisson status isn't anything amazing compared to SPG.

I've always wanted to stay here, but can never justify it vs. either the d'Angleterre if I'm feeling flush, or a slightly lower end hotel at 1/2 the price (the Marriott, for example).
bhrubin - you should really try Nimb Hotel one day.

I stayed recently. Very nice room, but small. It's a bit out of the way, but not too far from everything. Nice breakfast. I'd probably still choose it as a way to use Marriott points. I didn't really like the isolation and large size of the Marriott, but I didn't go into the rooms - just lobby.
I did walk by the Nimb and the location looked kinda bad - right at the train station. Didn't go inside.
I also stayed at D'Angleterre, which was very, very nice and right in the middle of the action. If money were no object, that's where I'd stay next time.

The D’Angleterre has only junior suites and higher available for the night of my stay, so not a good cost/benefit for me alone.

We stayed at the Nobis in May. Agree it is not in the "middle of the action" but was a nice walk to everywhere we wanted to go, which for us is preferrable to being in the thick of things. Room was nicely appointed (in a scandinavian way...not true luxury) but on the small side (again, in a Scandinavian way). Plenty of space for one though. We did not receive an upgrade (nor was one expected given it's a design hotel). We had things relatively planned out so did not need any assistance so can't comment on the quality of service. Also between getting old and this being a holiday instead of a work trip, jetlag was fierce so did not partake in breakfast that was offered complimentary due to Bonvoy status. Walked through the Nimb and thought it was "nicer" but were not fans of the location between the train station and Tivoli (crowds were way too large).
