Angry Only 1 breakfast for plat?

I always thought complimentary breakfast is a for plat and another staying guest,
however i had just stay in a four point location that only gives 1 breakfast and my partner has to pay in full price.

Is this common on four points? (never really stay in four points hotel)

If your reservation is for 2 persons in one room, you get the breakfast for 2. If the 2nd guest stays in another room, you might have to pay.

You should reach out to SPG support. The policy is definitely that Plat breakfast is for up to 2 adults registered and staying in the same room.

Source? All I can find is
"you’ll enjoy all the benefits" ... "Your choice of welcome gift upon arrival — choose from bonus Starpoints, continental breakfast or local amenity."
All I can find in T&Cs is
9.3 Platinum Preferred Guest Benefits. In addition to all of the benefits that Gold Preferred Guests receive, Platinum Preferred Guests will be eligible to receive the benefits listed on the SPG Program website (www.spg.com) under "Membership Benefits" under "Platinum Preferred."
, linking back to the same. I thought I recalled something more specific in the past, but can't find it. As the choice is between points worth about $10 or breakfast, I can see full buffet for 4 being not really proportionate.

Regardless, I've had either full family of 4 or just 2 at all properties.

Per What is included in the Platinum Welcome Gift continental breakfast? the benefit should be for the elite plus 1 guest.

Our apologies for any inconvenience, but if you will send us your stay details, we will open a complaint file and ask the SPG Hotel Coordinators to follow up on this.

That's a helpful link. Within it is language that answers a question that gets asked what seems weekly in this forum:

If chosen as your Welcome Gift, you will receive daily breakfast for you and one other guest in your room. This benefit may not be extended to colleagues, family or friends staying in other rooms.

Thanks. Bookmarked. You'd think something like that would be in the actual T&C's.

I actually went to that one first but was surprised that there is no mention of breakfast as being an in-hotel benefit at all nor listed as an "other program benefit" which is why I had to keep looking to find the reference I posted.

I've always had breakfast for the room... Prior to last year, I received breakfast for any rooms for which I was paying... So when on holiday, a room for my wife and I and a room for my children, I'd get breakfast for both rooms... This past year, however, breakfast is only for a single room, which is very disappointing...
