Le Meridien Arlington - Day 3 With No Hot Water
Just in case anyone was contemplating staying here, hot water continues to elude their plumbers.
Checked in Saturday and was told that there was a problem but they hoped to have it fixed by Sunday. Sunday came and went but the technician would be starting early Monday morning. Monday afternoon brings a note under the door with a long explanation, abject apologies, and no clue as to when hot water will return.
First world problem, I know, but I guessing the owners skimped on maintenance.

You are certainly much more calm, patient and forgiving than yours truly.
Cheers,

Must be part of the same alternative fact collection that puts EWR in New York City.

To respond to a couple of posters: They offered to walk me to the nearby moth-eaten Key Bridge Marriott, but as the outage was only going to be for one night, I declined. Subsequently, the night was on the house ($300+ taxes.)
Other than putting out a lot of cheese and wine in the lobby Monday evening, I don't know what's next as the clearly embarrassed staff put on their best game faces. Having lived in Nigeria for a couple of years, as long as the electricity stays on I can deal with the cold water; both not working is a little more challenging
Edit: As of 0630 Tues morning hot water again flows; what wonderous times in which we live.

I believe I would have continued down the Metro Blue Line to Crystal City and the Westin there. Cold showers really test my resolve for hygiene.

Not remotely comparable. It usually takes 40 minutes or more to drive from EWR into Manhattan. Arlington is a fairly large suburb and its outskirts can sometimes be a trek to DC by car, but Le Meridien is literally a 10-minute walk across the Key Bridge into Georgetown.
