These terms are from ONE version of the promo. They have been updated at least once since, in August of 2017.

Terms and Conditions

Eligible member must register between January 30, 2017, and April 15, 2017, 11:59 p.m. ET (the “Registration Period”). Member can earn 3,000 bonus Starpoints® after the third (3rd) eligible paid stay, 3,000 bonus Starpoints after the sixth (6th) eligible paid stay, and 3,000 bonus Starpoints after the ninth (9th) eligible paid stay. As part of this promotion, member may earn a maximum of 9,000 total bonus Starpoints for nine eligible stays from February 15, 2017, through May 15, 2017 (the "Promotion Period"). This promotion is not transferable. Bookings made prior to the Promotion Period are eligible, but only eligible stays consumed during the Promotion Period will earn a bonus.

An eligible stay is a stay with at least one (1) eligible paid night at any of the over 1,300 hotels and resorts in the SPG® program, paying an eligible paid rate during the Promotion Period. An eligible rate is any rate that is eligible to earn Starpoints in the Starwood Preferred Guest® program. Free Night Awards and Cash & Points Award nights are not eligible toward promotional Starpoints earnings. Hotels and resorts in the SPG program can be found at spg.com/terms under section 1.2. A description of eligible stays and eligible rates can be found at spg.com/terms under section 2.1. Please note that certain prepaid rooms where the booking is made through a third party (including but not limited to travelocity.com, expedia.com and booking.com) are not eligible rates and do not earn Starpoints or qualify toward promotional earnings.

Bonus Starpoints will be credited to the member's account within 2–4 weeks of the stay posting to the member's Starwood Preferred Guest account following each third eligible stay.

A "Stay" is a stay of one or more consecutive nights at the same SPG Participating Hotel by an SPG Member who: (A) provides his/her SPG Member number at the time of reservation or at check-in; (B) pays an Eligible Rate or redeems an SPG Award or an SPG Promotion Reward for the stay; and (C) stays in one of the reserved guest rooms. If an SPG Member checks out of a guest room and then checks back in to a guest room at the same SPG Participating Hotel on the same day, it will count as a single stay for purposes of calculating Stays. An SPG Member may only earn Starpoints, Eligible Nights and Eligible Stays for up to three guest rooms during any Stay if he/she stays in one of the reserved guest rooms and pays an Eligible Rate or redeems an SPG Award or an SPG Promotion Reward for all of the guest rooms.

This promotion is nontransferable and void for Marriott International, Inc., employees. This promotion may be combined with other Starpoints promotions in market during the same time; however, earnings are exclusive of each other.

If you mean the double nights/stays, it is instant i.e. the nights/stays are doubled-up immediately the points for the stay are posted.

Thanks so this means the next day at check in the system should show that I am a regular platinum member?

this is one of the best promos, SPG plat for 25 nights with all the benefits, can't beat that.

Same here- then I went to check under E-mail preferences and realized that back before SPG and Marriott had merged (giving me SPG Plat) I rarely stayed in any SPG properties and had turned off all E-mail correspondence (which includes promotion E-mails). Check there.

Thankfully I'd decided to check here- I've had several SPG stays over the last two months, and there's two promos I'm now registered for ("Double Elite" and "Explore More") that will benefit me greatly! Thankfully stays within the period, even before I'd registered, are still eligible.

I have both the promo for the double stay elite qualifying credit. I am wondering if I can make my final night stay to check in on December 15th - the last day of the promotion? I have read the T&C and can't seem to find a definitive answer.

The terms and conditions say that this promotion runs through December 15th, which means that the night of December 15th counts.

Then, it says, "An eligible stay is a stay with at least one (1) eligible paid night at any of the over 1,300 hotels and resorts in the SPG® program, paying an eligible paid rate during the Promotion Period..."

So, it seems to me that if you register before the stay occurs and book with an eligible paid rate, then a stay beginning on the night of December 15th would count.

I am registered for the double stay/nights qualifying promotion and have one stay that ended on September 15th, does anyone know if will that last night should be doubled? I registered before the stay began and i have received double nights for stays after this stay.

This would qualify only if you stayed the night of September 15th, but it would not count if you checked out on the 15th.

This is unrelated to exclusives (though I did receive a double points promo offer which is set to expire before I can take advantage) but instead about the current 1K bonus offer through Jan. 15th.

Does that count towards every stay between now and Jan. 15th or is it a one-time offer?

I have an upcoming 4 night stay in Orange County and I'm considering booking night 1 under my wife's acct, night 2 under my acct, night 3 under my wife's, and night 4 under mine again.

Would that generate 4K bonus Starpoints between out accts?

The only downside is that I hold status and she doesn't.

I wonder if I were upfront with the property if they'd allow us to remain in the same room and simply swipe our cards each afternoon as it would save everyone incl staff and housecleaning a lot of unnecessary work and would be way nicer and more convenient for us.

Marriott lifer here. During the 4th quarter I have been taking advantage of the Starwood promo of 1,000 bonus points and transferring all my starwood points using the 3:1 conversion to Marriott points.

I just stumbled across this forum and saw people got offered double your points. I am a platinum elite member are those offers only emailed to you or can you find them on your profile page?

So do people have double your points and then on top of that the 1,000 point bonus?

If you are eligible, then yes. Whatever exclusive bonus offer you receive can be combined with the general promo of 500/1,000 bonus points. Sadly, however, these exclusive offers are available to a selected group of members without any obvious indication as to what makes a member eligible.

SPG100 here with 160+ nights so far this year and I was not eligible. This generally is a piss-off factor for many members.

Reviving this Thread...

Today, I received the promo in the mail for "Earn Double Elite-Qualifying Credit" for stays between 1st March '18 ~ 31 May '18. I suspect I was targeted because I have not stayed with SPG since November '17.

But I thought it was an oddly targeted promo for me, because I am already SPG Lifetime Plat and I don't really need a leg-up to re-qualify for Plat.

Also noticed from the T&C that bonus stays/nights do not count towards Bonus Starpoints or SNA, so in essence this promo has zero benefit for me.

But to be safe, I registered anyway! My MMV!
