New hotel accepting booking but not on SPG web
I saw that a new Four Points by Sheraton Hakodate will be coming soon, I am able to see availability on 4-5 Feb from the hotel's own website, but not on www.starwoodhotels.com . And I do not find any way that I can input my SPG membership info from Four Points' website, it looks weird. But I would like to have the booking made thru SPG website to enjoy my Platinum benefits, any thoughts?

That's right, this shows it's not fully integrated into Starwood yet hence not available via SPG channels.
You can still stay there of course if booked directly with the hotel, you just won't get any SPG benefits since it's not available yet.

This property is a re-flag, not a new construction. It continues to operate independently until re-flagged as Four Points in May 2017. I double you can receive SPG benefits before re-flag. Website lists it as Four Points prematurely as it was scheduled to be re-flagged on September 1, 2016.
It looks to have a delay in SPG participation, for some contractual/legal reason, but to say it hasn't been re-flagged is not correct, unless you have a different definition than
oftentimes the new owners of the hotel determine to complete a hotel reflagging. This basically implies that the hotel undergoes a name transform.

The Four Points by Sheraton Hakodate doesn't open on our system until May 1st.
However, if their website is offering reservations -- you may be able to book a reservation and add your SPG number at a later date. If you'd like, we can contact the hotel on your behalf.

If the property did re-flag to Four Points on Sept 1 but doesn't participate in SPG, then you can BRG it. Problem solved.

AFAIK even if a Starwood hotel doesn't participate in SPG, you can still book it through the Starwood website. It sounds to me like the hotel is saying it joined on September 1st, but according to Starwood it isn't a Starwood yet despite what the hotel's website claims.

Starwood Preferred Guest members cannot book their stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Hakodate through SPG, other Starwood official websites or the Customer Contact Center during the renovation period from 1 September until around mid-2017. Starpoints cannot be earned and redeemed at this hotel and in-hotel SPG member benefits are also not available until around mid-2017.
