Tools for finding BRG deals

Here's another website my friend built. It has similar feature. Please check it out.

I believe it is still under active development and you might see some bugs there......

Cheers!

Hey guys,

I have built a small website recently to compare rates from hotel's website (starwood.com) and third-party websites (e.g. Expedia) and it is really easy to find some BRG deals and get the 20% discount. You can also use this website to search for hotels of your favorite hotel brand, or check the points value when you book with points.

The website is http://www.bookbrg.com

And please, do not misuse this...

Cheers!

==========
Updates:

New Features:
1. Book with points: calculating points value (e.g. 1.6c/point) and cost when book with points (e.g. if you value your spg points as 2.5c/point, then a 10000 point booking would have cost of $250 for you)
2. Search result filter by brand.
3. Currency conversion.

Known issues:
1. Sometimes mismatch hotels from official website to a wrong hotel from 3rd party websites
2. Sometimes show outdated price
3. Cannot auto-fill hotel, check-in, check-out information anymore while re-direct to hotel page.
4. Taxes for hotels outside US.

Feature in development:
1. Subscribe to a hotel/location and get notified when great deal is found.
2. Search result filters and sorting

Can you add a filter so that a user can choose Starwood only or Hilton only?

This is a fantastic tool. THANK YOU.

Any chance at getting a few other providers in there as well?

Yes I was planning to do so.

It now supports Hilton, Starwood, Marriott and IHG. These brands all have some BRG policy.

Let me know what other brands you guys wants

One thing through, adding too many results will make the search much slower. It takes about 10s in my PC to get the initial results when I search some major cities (say, NYC) and over 1 minute to load all prices.

Excellent idea. However it seems that it sometimes the handling of foreign currencies is wrong. As example, in Moscow it shows rate of 6042$ for Sheraton, while the actual rate is 6042 RUB.

Same... I just did a London lookup.

The rates are listed w a $, when actually should be the British Pound Sterling symbol. (I recognize the rates, as I've been stalking the SPG site daily to get low rates for an upcoming trip.)

Thanks though!

sorry about that. I know there's problem with currency in my search so my site currently only support search within United States. I'll fix this ASAP

Hi travelista,

I have integrated the currency exchange into my website. And I also did a search in London, basically ALL the results are BRG deals. For instance this "Courtyard by Marriott London Gatwick Airport" has $65 in Hotels.com and 59 gbp ($73) in Marriott.com

check this link http://www.bookbrg.com/?startDate=20...itude=-0.12574

Do you know if Starwood or other brands do BRG in different currency?
