Double Elite Qualifying Nights/Stays T&C
- Free award nights and cash & points nights are not eligible.
- Eligible nights based on actual date.
- Eligible stay based on check-in date, not check-out. (i.e., Stays started before 15 August but check-out after 15 August are not eligible)
- Bonus elite qualifying nights do not count toward lifetime status nights
- If the member qualified for elite status solely on the bonus stays/nights and did not rack up sufficient "real" stays/nights, then the elite status does not count toward the lifetime count.

Nothing for me for the 3rd promo in a row. I've been a Plat 50 last 3 years but decided earlier in the year that as obviously SPG is not interested in my business I would take it elsewhere. So my 90 nights a year have been going to hotels where I want to stay and it's been a pleasurable eye opening experience. Independents give free breakfast, free internet and usually are lower cost. Properties are often much nicer than what the chain offer. As to the points, well I've been saving money and earning plenty of points through RocketMiles that more than compensate. I'm sitting at 1 SPG stay for the year and it's likely that number will not increase.

Nice. A new targeted promo to keep me interested while we wait for the next global promo to arrive. I got:
3 stays: 3k points
6 stays: 3k points
9 stays: 3k points
making a total of 9k additional Starpoints before 15 November.
I like that it's simply based on stays and not stays with a minimum of two nights or including a Friday or Saturday night like the global promotions. But unfortunately this weekend's stay at Le Meridien Bangkok will not be eligible because it doesn't start until 15 August.
Last time I got the double night credits and I'm now at 64 nights so Plat75 is locked in again this year.
I like this offer (effectively an additional 1000 points per stay) and I like that it will run concurrently with the next global promotion whenever that starts. I typically do two-night weekend breaks around Asia that cost around US$120-140 a night so if the next global promo is anything like the last one I'd get 1000 (this bonus) + 500 (Plat gift) + 960 (at 4x points per US$) + 480 + 1000 (2x points per US$ + Fri/Sat stay global promo) making 3940 Starpoints for a weekend stay. Or enough for a free night at the Aloft in KL or Le Meridien Chiang Rai. Stay two get one free. Nice. Thanks.

As expected, nothing shows up, I am really disappointed. So they know that I am staying a bit more compared with other people and decided not to give any extra sweets to me?
