Just tried Munich, Germany. 7/9 had "Some error when mapping official hotel name to compete site". 2 had links (going out through hotelscombined), but unfortunately the resulting rate was higher than the brg rate shown and not brg-able... I guess this is just due to the inaccuracy of sites such as hotelscombined?

anyways, great effort and thanks!

Thanks for fixing the hotel mapping. However, as I tried again for Munich properties, all 9 hotels had brg links -- but all of them led to higher final price than the brg rate shown by your tool and hence not brg-able. As this happened for all hotels and across multiple dates, I suspect this is something systematic. For example, all SPG rates were higher than the corresponding brg rates shown by about the same percentage. Could this be the taxes and fees unaccounted for? Once added back in, the final price = spg rate (which is the all inclusive final price for hotels in certain markets like Germany).

I tried several dates (all one nights), e.g. June 19th, June 25th.

I tried both dates for only one night, it seems that the BRG prices are correct. After I click proceed to checkout I can see the tax will increase the total price, but I think the price on the SPG official site is also tax excluded, which means (SPG price + tax) > (BRG price + tax) and I think it is BRGable

Update:
1. I try to checkout on the official site, and you are right, the price is almost the same, I will keep investigate it. Thanks for pointing out.
2. It seems that the problem is as you said the tax problem, in my opinion SPG's official price should not include the tax but I don't it is because these hotels are located in euro or just because they are in Munich and SPG official website list the price after tax.

Hi, thanks for looking into this

SPG official price (including tax or not) depends on market/country. Most countries I know of don't include tax, e.g. US, China, Thailand, or even European countries like Poland. However, certainly countries such as Germany always display the final price (taxes included) due to their regulations -- this is not just spg, all other hotel chains also display the tax-inclusive final price.

Unfortunately I don't have a comprehensive list of countries that include taxes and fees. Perhaps others can chip in here?
