Since point sales are extremely profitable for SPG, I don't see why there's any limit at all.

As noted upthread, this may well be considered a 'loophole', but there isn't a current, written rule that can be cited to prevent this happening.

I think you are taking your concern about this a step further than necessary. No one said there was a yearly limitation amount on internal transfers as long as the source of the Starpoints isn't from those that are purchased.

Clarification has come to say that "gift" does not include household transfers, so nothing has changed. Just some bad intel, apparently.

Does this mean that Spouse A could purchase 30,000 points, Spouse B could purchase 30,000 points, and Child A (18+; lives at home with Spouse A and B) could purchase 30,000 points, and Spouse B and Child A could transfer their points to Spouse A (+90,000 points total; +60,000 from transfers)?

OK, can somebody be clear here?
Wife buys 30K, husband buys 30K, can wife transfer all 30K
to her husband's account if he already received previous transfers this year?

But, unless there is some advantage I'm not seeing, you can buy unlimited points for someone else and have them put directly into their account. No need to put them in yours first.

If I've read the responses from Lurker properly, yes, as long as the earlier transfer was not purchased points from her account.
