Nice promo, happens to coincide with my last few spg stays (I'm already transitioned over to Hyatt) to top off my points before I decide what to do with them. Current candidates are Singapore miles or wait to see Marriott conv rare and maybe book 5 night pkg with United miles.
Also tipped the balance of my dilemma where to stay in Detroit in June, funky new aloft or old Westin book. The latter isn't participating so . . . we have a loser!

Le Meridien Fairway in Dubai seems not to be on the list of those hotels participating.
Just double checking this is correct as I don;t think it has opted out of promos before

Can anyone please advise on how many Starpoints as a Gold on the following reservation please:
2 x nights at Ł150 / night (std room)
Applicable for double starpoints, plus the extra 1k points
SPG Gold status
Essentially I don't know how Starpoints are calculated and paid out - on the Ł spent per night? or are there standards for room types with each brand? and then how much additional paid out as Gold?

You would earn 2 Starpoints per eligible dollar + 1 Starpoint for your elite status on total eligible spend.
Add the 2X spend again for double Starpoints. Don't include the elite bonus in this calculation.
Add 1,000 Starpoints for a weekend night.
Other things to consider:
Taxes are not eligible charges.
Will you be having any other incidental charges that are eligible?
If you select Starpoints as your welcome amenity, it can be 125 or 250, depending upon the brand.

If I check in before the Promotion Period begins or check out after the Promotion Period ends, but some of my stay is in the Promotion Period, does my stay earn the bonus?
Yes, as long as one night of the eligible stay is within the Promotion Period, bonus Starpoints will be earned (even if part of the stay falls outside the Promotion Period).

Loyalty Lobby is stating that one doesn't get the 1,000 points if the reservation includes BOTH a Friday and Saturday per the Ts and Cs. I don't get that interpretation from reading the Ts and Cs, but I can see how one "could" interpret it that way. Any thoughts? I doubt it, but wanted to ask the experts.
