SPG has listened to your feedback and in response is (and has been) creating opportunities specifically to give our most active members the ability to earn bonus Starpoints including the 2,015 Starpoint digital booking bonus and 9/10/11k brand bonus in 2015 and adding a 10,000 Starpoint bonus to SPG Take Two for achieving 25 nights.
In addition, we are continually creating new bonus earning opportunities through the SPG Dashboard (with more coming in May). We’re always taking your feedback into account to find ways of providing bonus earning opportunities to the members who stay with us the most.
Next week, we will announce our next global promotion which launches in May with unlimited earning opportunities we hope you will all take advantage of.

That's not the way I read it. The promotion is good beginning April 1st, the alleged first night of your stay. You registered on April 5th (I checked this). The stay hasn't been posted yet, so I think all of the nights of your stay and the stay itself are going to be doubled.

Sounds like I will be withholding my flexible plans until I hear of this offer.
Thanks for the tip, Lurker!

As a Plat, I'm glad I got a decent offer. I was going to switch hotel program after completing my 25 nights, next week. The other hotel program is offering 2,000 aeroplan miles per stay. Luckily, SPG secured my next 12 stays with them.

No, Free Night Award and Cash & Points bookings do not qualify for promotional offers such as these.

Yea, I did. They lost some revenue, I lost nothing.
Not my individual booking, per se, but my aggregate bookings. And the aggregate of those like me who were rubbed the wrong way.
Tick off enough high spending individuals and influencers, and, just as they were expecting some *potential* extra bookings from the folks who got the promotion, they'll get actual fewer bookings from the people who count
----
I honestly think sometimes these marketing people forget that the internet exists and that information travels much faster. In the old days, you send some sneaky promotional mailers to select individuals, it might not be discovered on a broad scale - well, not anymore - it's 1998 and Flyertalk is here

I recall last year I wasn't initially eligible for this promotion, but when I logged in later - maybe halfway through the promotional period - I had received a double elite credit offer.
Perhaps worth checking again in a week or so - I guess you never know.
(Platinum here as well - and got nix this time... show me the love SPG

Can't wait for the first of many people who will come along and say "Hey, I got this bonus. Does anyone know what it's for?"
Happens every time.

Zero for me, zero for wife. Both golds. Fun! At least Starwood is consistent in giving us both nothing for all targeted promos, I guess.
