Has anyone else had problems with Starwood not honouring the promotion? I received get 3K points every 3 stays up to a max of 9K points which I got 6K points from, however I signed my mum up and she received a free cat 1-5 night after 2 stays up to a max of 2 free nights.
Despite emails starwood are now saying that she wasn't eligible for the promotion. Unfortunately I never took a screenshot but it is very frustrating as I know she was registered as I went back on the page to check the terms and conditions as she changed stays to get her free nights and booked flights to use them in Portugal, both of us are plat not that that makes a difference.
Thanks
Westers

So I had the stay 2 get 1, stay another 2 get another 1 (cat1-5) cert offer. I found out the hard way last second that these certs didn't include luxury collection like the US Grant. The agent was shocked as well when trying to book a standard room for me that showed available and even on points. She explicitly said T&C's excluded Luxury Collection. I was in a time crunch, booking one hour out, so settled with the Westin next door.

If it is a matter of her not being registered, despite your recollection, you should have received an email confirmation of registration. If you have that, we can ask that it be looked into further. Without it, there isn't much we can offer in the way of support.

Neither of us received a confirmation email, hence why I didn't think it was strange when she didn't receive one either. After her first two stays posted and no free night was received she emailed starwood to ask why it hadn't and they said it could take a few weeks and didn't at that point mention she wasn't registered. She definitely was registered and there has been a mistake within the starwood systems.
Thanks
