Agreed, especially when the programs merge it's the way to go.

HATE the traffic on the Strip to get there and then the mess of the traffic circle for parking.

It is a popular hotel, is large, and the logistics make it irritating to me.

I greatly prefer a Towers Suite at the Encore.

After the on again, off again, messaging about W (and SLS) leaving I noticed they had automatically cancelled my W reservation for next week and changed it to some unknown room at SLS at the same rate. Neither SPG Plat line nor the hotel could confirm exactly what would be offered for Plat's if anything. SPG Plat line was especially worthless as I'm the one that noticed the new website language stating the departure and they came back after five minutes on hold to read the same thing back to me that I had read to them!

Cancelled and booked the Grand Chateau instead. Not a "fun" hotel, but it's closer to where I need to be and will keep me out of the casino at least a few nights of my stay.

And here's the answer: W Las Vegas will leave Marriott along with the SLS on Friday, August 17th. Source: https://www.reviewjournal.com/busine...rip-on-friday/

W can't seem to catch a break in Vegas. Shame they're turning the former Fontainebleau into a JW/Edition when a smaller W tucked into the top of that tower would've been much more ideal.

Excuse my pedantry, but it's EDITION.
