Going to be here for a few nights the beginning of next month. Any good restaurant recommendations in the area of the hotel?

Anyone have experience with Platinum amenity (Breakfast) being extended to multiple rooms.
Travelling with family of 5 and this hotel seems ideal for two rooms value-wise. (96K in total and the King+single is available for that rate)

Thanks rbAA. Was there a few weeks ago.
I liked the hotel a lot. Good location, modern, and the room was comfortable. If I received an upgrade, it was not obvious.
The staff in general, and the bartenders in particular, were excellent.
Will stay there again on my next trip to Rome.

We spent 3 nights here, and overall were pretty happy.
The location is excellent -- quick walk to main sites, but tucked away in a residential neighborhood with lots of good food and non-touristy shopping nearby. Also, very easy for SIT bus to/from FCO, about 5 minute walk to via Crescenzio stop.
Upgrade was to an executive room -- what makes them so isn't obvious, as they seem to be as tiny as other rooms (20sqm) and lack upgraded amenities such as a Nepresso machine. I wasn't bothered by the size, but the construction is astoundingly poor -- you can hear everything that goes on on the street, in hallways and adjacent rooms. Breakfast (in lieu of 500 points) was pretty good by Italian standards, although it was the exact same buffet every morning (no variation). The rooftop terrace is amazing on sunny days.
We paid under EUR100/nt -- at those rates, it's my first choice in Rome!

As mentioned, location is excellent and staff helpful.
Other than Breakfast buffet, I didn't get a Platinum upgrade
Only negatives:
1) Breakfast buffet not great
2) Cleaning the room at 6 pm after we returned from a full day sightseeing - not sure why they wait for you to return to clean the room
3) No Platinum lounge or drinks coupon for bar

Let me add, as I mentioned above, I really liked this hotel and it's location for my first ever visit to Rome.

Just had a very, very strange experience.
I have booked two rooms for next week. I coincidentally noticed in my SPG app that the reservation got canceled.
Called the platinum service desk and all they could see is that the hotel decided to cancel my reservation. I've double-checked my mailbox and didn't get any email, nor have I received a phone call from them.
All the platinum desk could do was re-book for a significantly higher rate, they didn't even want to file a complaint.
Any of you ever experienced this? It looks like a ghost cancellation by the hotel. Imagine that I flew there and just showed up next week..
Horrible service for SPG platinum so far..

The breakfast room (-0 level) has all the charm of a hospital cafeteria c1960. Totally unsympathetic lighting ( kind of weird for Italy) , no music, unattractive decor. The food is ok, if viewed simply as fuel rather than anything exciting. But they could make the place so much better, for minimal cost, with a bit of effort on the ambience, including some softer lighting and soft music.
As JPDX suggests above, the SIT bus stop is quite convenient from/to FCO. It doesn’t stop right at Piazza Cavour inbound but rather a bit further back ; outbound the stop is closer to the hotel by about 150 metres. At €6 o/w or €11 rtn it’s something of a bargain ( and is probably just as quick as the Leonardo to Termini and change to the metro to Flaminio and then a walk). Of course the fixed price cab option is a better bet for a couple, family.

Recent stay here ( 7 nights), left with mixed feelings. My primary reasons for choosing it: location and price .
No upgrade offered/available other than from the cheapest prepaid to an Executive ( as I'd had on a previous stay). I didn't expect an upgrade as they were running Full with a couple of big events/meetings and just prior to my stay rates were 3 or 4 times what I'd paid ( and then no rooms at all).
So in these circumstances no upgrade is ok; however, the executive rooms are very small ( someone suggests 20sqm and that looks about right). Really only just, barely sufficient for a couple...and Not really for 2 just sharing the room.
The Aircon appeared not to be working ...or maybe the temperature is centrally controlled. The thermostat showed 23 degrees...too warm for me when it's 8-10 Celsius outside. I switched it off and opened the window; it was ok.
I prefer Rome in Winter and autumn, maybe early Spring...and if rates remain low in those seasons I would stay again. However, given the low number of rooms in the upgrade pool I suspect that suites will be hard to get...just the luck of the draw...and that the barely adequate Exec room may be as good as it gets ( and really, what the lower category rooms are like I shudder to think).
Great location, nice staff, unremarkable breakfast, rooms just ok. A bit 'cheap and cheerful'
