Howdy folks! Do you all know if I would receive a platinum amenity of 500 points for EACH room if I book three rooms all in my name? Thanks!

Only if someone at the property makes a really big mistake.

The T&Cs call for the amenity to be granted to the member and is not a per room benefit. Just like lounge access is for the member and a guest in the same room. However, we do know some properties mess things up from time to time, whether deliberate or a mistake. So don't expect it, but also, best not to say anything if it happens (an audit can take it away).

If you still have any issues that need to be sorted out on this one, the best way is to send a copy of your folio(s) to Program Services at [email protected].

Based on what I have read, the following should get night credit, correct?:
- One Room at Westin A for 11/21 - 11/23 (2 Nights) - Pay in cash
- One Room at four points B 11/21 - 12/1 (10 nights) - Pay in points

Does the overlap at different hotels create any issues?

If I am planning to leave the hotel for multiple nights at the end of the longer reservation (no one in the room), am I going to run into an auto checkout issue if I put a do not disturb on the door?

Yes if you can't explain how you managed to occupy two different hotel rooms on 11/21-11/23 (2 nights).

A single night overlap is feasible eg flying in from another city/time-zone. Two nights... is a bit far-fetched.

Even if you do get the nights, they might be removed if you're audited.

From reading other posts, expect the longer stay to be denied credit. SPG's system does not allow multiple rooms at different properties, only the same property. You are then put in a position of trying to explain what you did and get them to adjust your account. Way too much hassle for two nights.

If it was me and travelling with someone else, I'd book the 2-night stay under their name/account and let them have credit and keep the longer stay under my account.

As for leaving the room vacant for a few days, it would be best to let the front desk know you will be out but want to keep the room. If housekeeping enters the room and determines it's been abandoned (belongings or not), they may check you out and dispose of any items left behind. Many properties will not honor a DND sign for more than a few days.

i booked 4 rooms at a le meriden property in marrakesh for 1 night. 3 were paid, 1 was cash and points. i understand the policy is maximum of 3 rooms can earn points and stay credit.

i thought the logical thing to do in this case would be to give points for the 3 paid rooms. instead i got credit for 2 paid + 1 cash and points. so although my stay nights and stay credit have posted correctly, i'm only getting points for 2 rooms (the cash and points doesn't earn points, and the 4th room on a revenue rate is wasted). this doesn't seem right

lurkers- any advice?

There is no one looking at how to maximize the guest benefits. That is left up to you and only you. You can try calling SPG and see if they are willing to sort this out.

Going forward, I would suggest you specifically plan how you want things to work out. And booking the "extra" rooms under a different member is the best way to do this. At least someone would get credit.

This is an interesting one which I don't recall seeing before on the forum. Just for completeness, could you confirm some detail on how many reservations were made and if/how they were consolidated on the checkout folio(s) ?
