Post The Grand Mansion, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Nanjing

Property: The Grand Mansion, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Nanjing
Date(s): December 2016 (1 night)
Room booked: Deluxe
Room received: Grand Deluxe
Award stay: Yes, FNA
BRG stay: No
SNAs redeemed: N/A
Comments: I was pre-allocated a Grand Deluxe Room before checking in. Did ask if Suites were available and was told no due to festive peak season. I didn't bother to check online availability since I was only here for 1 night. Waited in the Xi Lounge while the assigned room was being cleaned. The basic Deluxe Rooms (and Superior Deluxe rooms) were 46SQM which is actually very spacious (never had a chance to check it out). The Grand Deluxe rooms at 69SQM is actually too much. I had a corner room as well.

About the only redeeming quality of the Sheraton Miyako is how easy it is to get to from HND. Otherwise, I was not impressed.

Comments: Cute boutique property. Poor service. Very poor Plat treatment. (First time I've had to pay for my breakfast; all you get here is $14 credit per person at the a-la-carte restaurant, which is not even enough for one dish + coffee.) Did not receive any upgrade. Next time, I'll try the Le Meridien 10min walk away.
You may want to post this in the failures thread instead.
