Good for your guys, but that extra mile is going to be a real stretch for some of us longstanding Plat members. I am only 1/3 of the way to date so I have a lot of stays required yet, but with the SARS scare I know my travel will be cut back severely!

Just came back from Thailand where hotels are empty and some flights too.

Only 2/5 of the way so far. I had planned on having requalified already by this time and be working on requalifying for Hyatt Diamond, but vacation and laziness to travel turned me into a SPG slacker. Now to hurry up and requalify. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

So am I. I like the status but nothing is more important than being with your close ones and work without have to travel. It's fun and exciting when you started, like mileage junky, but after a while, it's tiring.

I've stopped staying at Marriotts totally.

Trying to requalify for Hyatt, but there are none within an easy drive to where I'm working.

Already requalified for Hilton Silver, just so I can book VIP awards. I might go for Gold as a third backup chain to SPG and Hyatt.
