Thanks for your patience. We have some clarification. Guests need to register their card as part of registering for the promotion, but do not need to save the card to their SPG profile/account.

Your bonus Starpoints await:
– Register: November 20 through February 29 (https://www.spg.com/amexkeyless)
– Book: Guests must book with any American Express Card
– Stay:November 20 through February 29
– Earn: One-time 2500 bonus Starpoints for one eligible stay

Hope this helps!

Got my points yesterday.

I was "mid-stay" at the Aloft in Las Colinas, TX when this promo was introduced. My SPG Amex is stored to my profile and I was already using the keyless option, so everything was already in place for this promo. Got my 2500 points yesterday. Merry Christmas to the Lurkers and many thanks for all that you do.

But the link is not accessible, and the official registration link on top of this post didn't ask for any credit card details.

Was able to successfully register. Will this combine with the 2015 promo?

Tried this last night with my first visit to an Aloft property.
Fail.

Registered my Amex and requested keyless. Got the confirmation of the request. Message on SPG app kept telling me I'd get my link and room number. Finally checked in at 11pm and got a regular key. Not sure why even up until 11pm I never got my keyless access and room number info.

Not very impressed.

No 2500 points for me.

Surely in that scenario you should still receive the points?

Would you still get the points if you booked and paid for the stay but missed to arrive at the property due to travel irregularity?
I thinking of booking 1 night - but might not make it to actually check in....

aLoft IAD's Keyless was down too last weekend.

When does the keyless icon show up on the app? It seems it shows up as the check-in date approaches?
