I stayed at Element Vaughan a few days ago. Everything went well except I couldn't open the door to my room with my iPhone. Lock flashed green several times, but door didn't unlock. FDA assured me I would get my points. We'll see.

Why does SPG sometimes make things so darn difficult??? Couldn't get the app to work for my last stay at the Element FRA. Lurkers helped me get the technical issue resolved after I posted here.
Checked in today at the Element Miami Doral and hoped to get the points only to find out that I can't do keyless because I had 3 rooms on my reservation! Seriously? Due to the three rooms I am not showing on the hotels list to give me the Keyless entry. Can I use SPG Keyless on all my stays? Only stays that meet the following criteria are eligible to use SPG Keyless: •Member must have an SPG number, a valid credit card and a registered mobile device. •Reservation must be for only one room. •Reservation must be made through Starwood booking channels, such as websites, mobile websites, the SPG app and the Customer Care Center. They can't figure this freaking thing out and I guess I'm not getting 2500 points after trying at 2 hotels during the promotional period... Best regards, William R. Just chiming in to say y'all are not alone. Still waiting too. Nothing since this January 19th email:

We are aware of the issue some members are experiencing with this 'Error 500' and have provided your screenshot and device information along to the app developers for further investigation. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work towards a resolution. In regard to our current AMEX.Promotion, we have forwarded you information to our Promotional Team for further consideration. Is it required to sign up for the program via the www.spgpromos.com url in the main post?
I'm getting a "program expired" message |
So, I called in last Wednesday since it had been 4 weeks since checkout on my keyless stay. The CS rep I spoke with said something interesting - she said the 4 weeks was from the date regular points for the stay posted to my account, which was several days after checkout. Said if the did not show up on their own by today, she would manually post them.
Not sure what happened but they posted sometime today. Might have posted on it's own, might have been manually posted by the CS rep or some other *wood employee or less likely, they might have posted from a subsequent keyless stay with a check out yesterday. I was having issues with keyless working on Saturday and the hotel told me the system was undergoing maintenance. Maybe they sorted out some of the bugs. Don't really care which, just glad to have my points. |

Must be a batch post- my points from Valentine's weekend at W Seattle posted today.
The promo worked as it got me to try something I typically wouldn't have. The one thing I'm unclear on is whether using keyless reduces your chances of an upgrade. Curious about others' experience The 2500 points were a nice consolation prize. The early arrival of our granddaughter in December made us scuttle plans that would have completed the "visit all the brands" promo- we were so close ! |
I used Keyless at Aloft Ontario-Rancho Cucamonga on February 14-15. I still have not received my 2,500 Keyless bonus points.
