Oh well...everyone has their opinion. I personally agree with Christian. I think that the W beds are better. I can't imagine anyone complaining about either one!

We just got back, and other than a few minor hicups, the trip was great. The W bed wasn't nearly as comfortable as the Westin Heavenly Bed, though it did have a (thin) feather bed on top and a down comforter.</font>
I stayed at the W Poydras a few weeks ago and fell in love with the bed. You are telling me that the Westin Heavenly beds are more comfortable???

I way prefer the W bed but it's down to personal preference at the end of the day.

In fact, I would buy one if it wasn't for the extortionate shipping costs!

Anyway, I consider myself about equal in non-hipness to Dave Berry (have young kids, don't wear black, preferring khaki and button-down shirts), but I still love W hotels. They're fun and quirky, but still professional. And the staff has been uniformly fantastic and friendly at all W's I've stayed at. In the last 18 months, I've probably had 35 W visits, 15 Westin visits, and 10 Sheraton. If I have a choice, I always pick the W.</font>
But do you impulse buy sofas at drugstores?

Okay, I do think that the W Beds are more comfortable than the Westin beds, but im crazy to turn either one of them down.

Westin beds tend to be too "fluffy" for my linking, I tend to sink a little too far. You may be the opposite.

I loved the W on Poydras. Coming from my first trip to Vegas, it was hard to stay out of the Casino! :-) The front desk was okay, but the BellStaff was Awesome! I wish I got the name of the great guy that helped me out!
