Thanks. Actually I had to uninstall my iOS app and reinstall it to get the successful registration message.

SPG Keyless Promo

It has been a week since I checked out at the W Boston, and no 500 points yet. Got all other points- including Green Choice. Just wondering if anyone has received points for this Targeted Promo. And by the way, I never went to the desk for any assistance. Technology was up to the task.

Just an FYI..."Bonus Starpoints will be credited to the member's account within 2–4 weeks of the stay posting to the member's Starwood Preferred Guest account following the first, second and third eligible stays."

I got the email for 2,000 points for using keyless.

Keyless is a pain. Just because you have Android 5 doesn't mean your device is supported. Then I used a Samsung S5, which worked, and it worked, then didn't work. Told the front desk, which re-activated it. It worked, and then didn't work. Then I gave up.

Bleh

I got the 1000 pt offer for signing up for Keyless, which is fine because the other bonus requires you to use Keyless. I have been to several properties and not once has Keyless worked. It is the hackiest waste of code on the SPG app.

Here's an idea: if SPG really wants Keyless to work, then they would work on a solution that incorporates Apple Pay/Google Wallet/etc. NFC > Bluetooth/Internet/Praying to the SPG overlord for a key to push through.

I tried to use it at the Aloft in Las Colinas...it wasn't working of course. Guy at check-in was apologetic and said that he would issue 2,000 points as an apology. They didn't post, but we will see.

It worked the next day for me, once. But then it stopped working and my physical keys stopped working as well. I'm not asking for comp. I just wish SPG would kill the app and Keyless and start from scratch. Everything is too cumbersome and ridiculous.

If the 2,000 points come through, then that is awesome.

During this promotion I have tried Keyless at two properties (Aloft Denver International Airport & Aloft Bengaluru Cessna Business Park). Neither worked on my iPhone 6 and I am just hopeful that I still receive the 1,000 Starpoints for trying.

Looks like I am 0/4 using this option. It didn't work for me at Aloft Chicago O'Hare or Element Las Vegas Summerlin.

I didn't ask for comp, it was just offered so, of course I will take it. It worked after check in that day, but was not working the following morning. Seems kind of pointless, even if the idea has merit.

How long for keyless bonus points to post?

I've signed up for keyless because it claims it gives 1500 points for signup. That was almost 2 weeks ago, no points. Should I send in an inquiry?

A bit more than just signing up was required, I think. Terms are in the first post of this thread. Have your stays fallen within the T&C's expected time frame:

"Bonus Starpoints will be credited to the member's account within 2–4 weeks of the stay posting to the member's Starwood Preferred Guest account following the first, second and third eligible stays."

If so, then yes, you should probably send us the details.

I sent in an email to customer service...they replied with a "we've sent it to hotel management" so I am feeling like the hotel is not going to honor what was said to me by the check-in desk guy, which is all that I have to go on.
