Earn a free Sheraton weekend night for every five paid (not award) Sheraton* nights you stay from July 9th – Sept 30th 2015.

Announcing our richest SPG Sheraton promotion ever, SPG Sheraton Free Weekends
We wanted all of you to be among the first to know that as of today registration is open for SPG Sheraton Free Weekends, our richest SPG Sheraton promotion in the history of the program.
Here are the details:
• You’ll be able to earn a free Sheraton weekend night at any Sheraton for every five Sheraton nights you stay.
• Register now at spg.com/sheratonfreeweekends and stay between July 9th and Sept 30th to earn.
• You can earn up to three free nights that can be redeemed separately or consecutively.
• All Sheraton hotels and resorts around the world, category 1-7, are participating.
Just like our existing free night redemption, these Sheraton free nights don’t come with blackout dates or capacity controls. As long as the hotel has a standard room available – it’s your's.
As a reminder, the earning period for SPG Sheraton Free Weekends overlaps with our ongoing SPG Make It Count promotion, until August 31st. Be sure to register for both promotions to collect extra SPG rewards!

Last promotion I totally missed with clusters of stays immediately before and immediately after...
This one will work well for me... the no blackouts (plus all properties participating!) is a nice touch!

The all hotels are participating is 2 fold, seems All Sheraton Hotels will count towards the 3 for 1 free, and can be used only @ a Sheraton brand. All other brands wont count towards the 3 for 1 free nor to stay at ; STAY FIVE NIGHTS AT SHERATON — EARN ONE FREE SHERATON WEEKEND NIGHT.

I don't buy your premiss. There are many excellent Sheratons; Sydney, Tel Aviv, the Dolphin, being comperable to the best of other brands, and many other Sheratons well priced and conveniently located, downtown and at airports all around the world. Not saying they're the end all and be all; but I'll have no hesitation taking the free nights thank you very much.

Yesteryear when it was Stay 3 get 1 free and at any SPG hotels it was definitely worth doing matress runs for most folks. Unless a person can find a very cheap Sheraton Im not sure doing 15 mattress nights is worth it unless the Stay credits are needed and then it wont be consectutive either. It just might be cheaper to book the Sheraton for the weekend nights instead of getting them by buying 15 nights. Since Im only 6 Stays away from requalifying it doesnt work for me.Happy it will workout for you as well as anyone else that it works for.

Given that I 1) haven't been eligible for any of the other promotions going on right now and 2) don't have any plans to travel to the one Tribute property out there, looks like Sheraton will be getting all my stays through September.
