... or in genral one of the stay-3-pay-2-nights offers. For previous promotions they count as 3 nights (not 2) but since this promotion is a bit dfífferent I would like to highlight the to my knowledge not yet answered question ...

Gosh - registration will open right on the day the first nights will count. If marketing could get the list of non-participating properties out (even a partial one) it'd be really useful for all of us that are making the bookings now! @:-)

Though, it's worth noting that "Sheraton Suites" all-suites hotels will, presumably, be participating, as their suites are categorised as Standard Rooms for SPG purposes.

Some really good prepaid, non-cancelable rates available at a few Sheratons I'd like to stay at during this promo period, and would like to book right now to lock in the rates. But with no non-participating list available yet...guess I'll just have to cross my fingers on one hand, pull the trigger with the other, and go ahead and make the bookings.

Just cancelled 3 rooms x 5 nights at Aloft and Westin to go to a Sheraton. Not all were in the promo period but I decided I didn't want to hotel hop. Overall now have 16 nights over the promo period which gets me the 3 nights. I have a weekend planned now for a nice location that usually goes for $A400/night over weekends.

Wow, this definitely changes my strategy. I am actually going to pull up some IHG stays into June and defer SPG stays to July and probably aim for SPG 75 (was going to stop at 50).
So, there will be 3 SPG promotions I need to balance with IHG:
