As always, this is covered in the FAQs. ;)

If I check in before June 1, 2015, or check out after August 31, 2015, but some of my stay is in the eligible stay time period, does my stay earn the bonus?
Yes, as long as one night of the eligible stay is within the promotion period.

Lurker: How many promo-qualifying nights would a z3r stay earn? Thanks!

NO. 1 stay, but you will get X number of nights * 2 for night credit.

i thought 2 rooms booked under the same name counted as 2 stay credits....

Thread split

Please note that the discussion relating to the Sheraton Free Weekend Nights promotion has been split out into a new thread :

This thread remains for discussion of the SPG Make It Count promotion.

Hi jpdx,

For a three-night reservation booked under promotion code Z3R, you will receive three nights credit. Generally, all three nights will count towards the promotion if all other conditions are met.

Hi

I have some good news and bad news. The bad one is, there is no list of non-participating hotels. The reason for it, and this is the good news, members can earn Starpoints at any of our more than 1,200 SPG participating Starwood hotels and resorts.

Please check the promotion link for more info or send us a PM.

"Announcing: SPG Make It Count : Stay 2 weekned nights, earn 1,000 Starpoints"

The title of this thread is wrong, and not just because of the spelling of "weekend".

Two weekend nights are NOT required to earn the 1,000 SP's.

If you would care to provide a more descriptive / accurate title, using fewer than 86 characters, I will edit the thread title accordingly. :)

I was going to post the same as clublounger, after spending time last night clarifying that prior to making a booking.

How about: Promo: SPG Make It Count : Stay 2 nights (1 WKND night req), earn 1,000 Starpoints

If you are using points for a Sheraton stay, do these nights still count toward the 5 nights for the promo? Or do you have to be staying on cash?

Award stays, including Cash & Points, do not count towards promotional offers, even though you can receive stay and elite qualifying nights for these bookings.
