Problems with spg.com

Is anybody else having difficulties logging on today? When I tried to log on this am , using a favorites link on my PC, I entered my username and password but was then directed to a page where I was instructed to change my password. This wasn't an email link so I don't think I was spoofed. However, when I changed my password I was still unable to log on , receiving a message that there were problems and I could not proceed. Please try again later.

Well over 12 hours later and it persists. Any suggestions?

Edit.
This is the message I've been getting for over 12 hours now,
We're sorry, a system error is preventing us from continuing. Please try again later.

I just tried and am able to login with no problems.

Maybe try clearing your browser cache?

Thanks. I tried that and have also tried multiple browsers. I'll try on my laptop and see if that works better.

Hi Fizzer,

My apologies for the inconveniences.

If you still could not access your account after clearing browser cache, please provide your account information via private message or email. We will have our teach team look into this for you.

I recieved an email early this morning that my password had been changed. Obviously I hadn't done so in my sleep, so hoping the email was spam, I attempted to log in. Spg.com did not work for me on 4 computers, an iPad, and two cell phones whether I was on a vpn or not. I could not log into the app either. Called spg to have my password reset. I can now log into the app and onto my account via starwood hotels.com, but spg.com is still down for me. The rep I spoke to said spg.com worked for her. I also checked a few domain status sites. Some report that spg.com is working, and some say it is not

I can't load spg.com at all. Tried clearing my cache on my laptop and still nothing. It just says "this page can't be displayed". Weird. I can directly access various individual hotel website pages though.

I think I'll grab some breakfast and let the internet gremlins enjoy their pranks this morning.

Okay doesn't seem to be working for me now.

I suspect the spg.com webserver is having problems cause the DNS results are showing okay.

Well thanks folks and Christine. It was late last night so I waited until this morning to try again. Even when I clear my cache or try another PC I'm having the same issues. I'm kind of relieved others are too because I was wondering if I'd been phished or something.

Using Chrome this morning I get:

The webpage at http://www.spg.com/apex/crmprd/f?p=RMSTRAT has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.
Similar message with Firefox. IE just says page is unable to load. SPG Android app working fine.

Still down at 11:15am Eastern. Still getting the "redirect loop" error message on Chrome.

Really can't understand why SPG has so many IT issues. It really seems that the website takes a dive every couple of weeks for hours at a time.

The page isn't redirecting properly

FF gave me this message on SPG.Com, Sheraton.com. and Fourpoints.com

Seems the whole system dies.

Firefox has this error message:

The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

Setting to always accept cookies does not solve the issue.

IE has this message:

This page can’t be displayed

•Make sure the web address http://spg.com is correct.
•Look for the page with your search engine.
•Refresh the page in a few minutes.

I have not gone to SPG site since a week ago. My browser clears cookies / caches/ history automatically each time the browser is closed. So this is clearly not the issue on my browser. The issue is on SPG site.

I have gotten broken displays since a few weeks ago - all the frames seem to either overlapping each other or misplaced on the page. I could make do with the site to get what needed to be done but the site has been a PITA to deal with ever since it has the upgrade. It just went from tolerable to nonfunctioning.

While I understand SPG wants to fresh up its website, but the sad thing is, ever since the upgrade, the site has become very unstable. last week when I was on the site, it logged me out EACH TIME when I went into a submenu - like My Stay, then I could not return to the main or go to My Activity - the site logged me out. Very frustrating. Took 4 times longer to just finish some basic checking.

It has been problems after problems since the upgrade that is now worse than HHonors site!
