2015 Trimester 2 (Q2/Q3) promo speculation
Is it a time to start T2 promo speculation? It usually starts May 1st each year... Any hints?

My guess is NO promo for this time period.

I was wondering too... I have a 1 - 9 May stay coming up. Last year's would be OK... triple points if a Sunday is included.

500 points after every 20 paid nights.
Think of the pleasant surprise that will be conveyed in the postings when we all find out it is something better than that.

I have an upcoming trip to BKK April 28-May 1. On my 7 or 8 stays in BKK so far, I have always stayed at the SGS (once in W), but this time, I've booked to the Radisson.
No promo, no stay.

Not sure there will be a good promo. Businesses are doing better, and summer always requires travel for vacations. After the dismal q1 promo, I'm not too optimistic.

Going to have to give something or I'll be giving my stays elsewhere... Hyatt's been getting all my stays because their promo was significantly better in Q1.

So many positive memories on the 2011 "Getaway Free" promo.
5 nights for free at the Westin on Maui in Dec 2011, upgraded as well, are memories my wife and I will never forget.

Club Carlson's promo is very lucrative. SPG probably doesn't feel the, somewhat odd locations/properties of CC, as being that much of a competition.
Somewhat odd in the sense that they don't always have properties in the price range, location, or -anything- that SPG has. Dare I even say, SPG and Club Carlson seem to hardly compete.
With that said, if Hyatt, Marriott or IHG offer a promo. I feel SPG will require a promo to lure easily swayed frequent travelers to the brands. Or else we will just be swayed into other brands.
