I believe the opposite is the case: agents are supposed to only write the room number on wallets and not say the room number to avoid someone overhearing and following someone to their room.

Got the "not supported" message on my Xperia Z3c. But since I read this thread and know it's BT and not NFC, I don't really mind since I don't leave BT on.

One thing I don't fully understand is that, since this is a BT solution, and BT has a range of about 10m, how is the door not unlocked any time your phone is within 10m of the door? Like, say, when it's on the desk in the room.

With the knowledge that this is a security issue, I leave the "wallet" in the room and keep my key card in my pocket, separate from my wallet, so that the key is less likely to get filched.

Do you all think a wiki for the hotels actively using SPG keyless would be beneficial?

I have heard of many hotels starting to use it now, specifically W hotels, that are not yet listed on the SPG keyless page.

I think that's a great idea.

Let the crowdsourcing begin! Added the initial list to wiki.

I spoke with a lady from the W Chicago Lakeshore, where she said they have already started using this. Can anyone who's stayed there recently confirm this?

Has anyone had success when checking in to a hotel after midnight using Keyless? Had the W Hollywood tell me in January they couldn't push the key to my phone because I got to the hotel at 1AM and the system would no longer allow me to be checked in from the previous day (even though my Your24 preference had been set as such). No big loss - wound up with plastic keys, but curious if that hurdle had been overcome yet.

Didn't even realize that this was being kept track of in the wiki, so I've added the rest of the properties currently set up for SPG Keyless.

Trying Keyless at W Times Square. Key wasn't pushed to phone, possibly due to ID check requirements, but setup took about 10 minutes with front desk staff on the phone to "the office" trying to sort it out.

Was told you can't register multiple phones for one stay, so although I could register my husband's phone as Keyless on my SPG ID, it didn't work. So he has a plastic key.

All in all, interesting use of technology, the actual unlocking works fine, but the process needs fine tuning and I would only use as a solo traveller for now.

Will be trying the keyless system tomorrow for the first time. I am traveling with someone else and curious if there is an option to "send" them a key to their phone? From what I can tell, I would need to register their device on my SPG account in order for them to use the keyless feature.

If not, then will the system allow me to go keyless but for my companion to use a physical key?

Also excited that I will have my Apple Watch tomorrow in time to test it out.. I have high hopes!
