Sheraton Denver West Hotel- Awful
So this month my wife and I had a business trip to Denver for a week, and geographically picked Sheraton West. I am a road warrior, but the expensive executive level room was as awful as I can remember in at least two decades. Examples: showerhose leaked, weatherstrpping on bottom of shower door worthless, commode loose (like bucking horse), sink faucet eschons loose, bedside telephone never worked, small refrigerator door would not close, exterior window drafty, etc. 2 people in room for a week and...the 2 small bars of soap never replaced, pen ran out of ink (thrown away) and never replaced, small pad for notes used and never replaced, etc. Returning to room at end of second day, NOTHING was done by Housekeeping. Hotel had service elevator working, but Sheraton maintenance worker used guest elevator between floors with guests waiting on his stops. Inside a bag I carried a special bottle of wine into La Cave Restaurant to drink with dinner. The Restaurant did not stock this wine, was empty of customers, I asked the Corkage charge, and was RUDELY told...NO CORKAGE ALLOWED (we drank water with our meals). My wife could see computer ordering screen for staff, and the restaurant may be growing some kind of new fungus on screeen. Well...this Sheraton we will remember to our graves

I am already considering canceling based on the above review. And, I just found out that the hot tub is not in working order. It has been down for over one month. I am doing some skiing so the hot tub is really important. They do have some suites with jacuzzi tubs so maybe I'll request one of those. Not really any other SPG properties nearby that would work.

I do not want to rain on your parade...but also be aware that the internet connectivity is "third world". The executive lounge computer is not connected to a printer. Does not matter much because business center, off the lobby, has one printer but it is rarely connnected to internet files. I was able once to print a website of four pages color...one dollar charge per page!
Also, do not have a stomach problem, my wife and I never say a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom if there wsas half a roll on roller attached to wall.
Moreover, Housekeeping may or may not replace a wet shower floor mat. If there is two people in your room, you will never see more than 3 small shower towels that are way past their prime.
I hope the skiing is great!
