I agree with you. A five star hotel needs a signature restaurant/dining room. FS Boston closed its great main dining room Aujourd'hui in 2009. At that time, it had the highest Zagat rating, and was also voted best restaurant in Boston. It obviously wasn't inexpensive, either; yet was always crowded. Go figure.

Platinum breakfast here is limited to 2 Continental breakfast per room...we have two kids with us and it's disappointing that they are nit included.

Is that based on the letter of the policy or practice? We (both parents) stayed at the PDG with 1 child (4 nights) and were not charged for his breakfast.

I have never EVER been charged for hot breakfast. They should deduct the price for my breakfast minus the continental benefit but they have never done so.

La Scene has one michelin star, no? Still though, it was a disappointment to me.

The breakfast is the one truly disappointing part of this hotel and would make us think twice about going again. Everything else wonderful but continental not good good enough... Full buffet too

Doesn't every good Parisian hotel have a restaurant with at least one Michelin star?

Hey Mods - this thread is mistitled. I believe this is supposed to be Prince de Galles!

After my searches in Flyertalk failed I finally found this thread by searching on Google.
