Earn SPG points to keep account active

I don't have the SPG AMEX card and don't have any plans on staying at an Starwood property any time soon. Aside from buying the points (which I see there is a promo going on for now), is there any way to earn SPG points for free? I see there is one from Audience Rewards but nothing shows up every time I visit that website.

My only option right now is to transfer my AMEX MR points (1K) over to SPG. How long does this process usually take?

Anyone has any other suggestions on how to have some points posted to my SPG account?

Thanks.

You could dine/drink at a participating restaurant/bar nearest to you to earn some points.

AudienceRewards trivia has not been refreshed since July.

And if it does come back, Audience Rewards do not count as "earned" points activity, and therefore won't extend your expiry date. (If anyone disagrees, I'm not responding. Plenty of other threads cover this.)

If it were me, I would buy 500 Starpoints for $17.50
It's quick and posts right away.
Relatively cheap.
You would spend more at a bar or restaurant or buying tickets, etc

Is your goal to maximize earning more points for cheap, or is the main thing to just get some points so they don't expire?
