Trip Report: Fully Naked guy appears in room at Sheraton Wall Center Vancouver!

Checked into Sheraton Wall Vancouver over Labor day. When I went to room on 29th floor another guy was in my room fully (yes full frontal) NAKED!

Apparently he had same last name and they gave him my platinum suite upgrade then were confused and apparently gave me the same room. No idea why they didn't figure out the first name was not the same nor do I know why they would give me 2 sets of keys that were issued to the other guest.

They gave me a suite on 25th club floor with a balcony so room was ok.

However, lost brand new $100 electric toothbrush by dropping it in shock and couldn't find it when I went back to look for it - guy must have stole it and thought he scored twice, once on the room upgrade and second on the free toothbrush

Lesson learned - remember to lock your door with the security lock!

Trip Report?? This isn't what I would classify as a "trip report"?
What happened after? How was this rectified? What was your stay like at the property?

They just gave me keys to the 25th floor suite and that was the end of it. Maybe if I complained more they would have compensated me for the $100 toothbrush I bought literally just in the morning. Used free street parking instead of the $50 valet rip off. Free continental breakfast in the club lounge.

Hotel was ok. View was ok. Only there one night. Naked guy in the room was still the shock and awe of other stays hence the report.

Check with your credit card company to see if they will pay for the loss of your toothbrush. Many cards pay for products that are lost or stolen within 90 days of purchase.

This incident was probably worth some complimentary points from the hotel (for you and for our lucky naked friend). Oh well.

Interestingly enough my packed toothbrush battery died and I stopped by the store early that very morning to buy a new one which was in a box. Carried the box to the room (one hand with box, one on luggage). Dropped toothbrush box when I picked up the phone in the call to complain about the Naked guy in my room. Came back several hours later after dinner after realizing my new toothbrush wasn't in my room and it was gone, apparently stolen probably by the naked guy from the hallway that I used to pick up the phone to call the front desk about said naked guy

SPG amex covers stolen goods for 90 days so I'd be ok but just a hassle.

Instead of 500 point platinum amenity, you got local amenity of frank and beans.

You might need to report to the police to obtain case report for insurance..
