How many *W properties have you stayed at? (The Redux)
 

With a nod to this thread (a bit too old to reply to), figured this was an interesting conversation for anyone who has tracked this, as I just mapped out my SPG stay history (2010-current) in the past week.

I'm up to 95 total (including 28 OUS) - have 3 more new ones in the next couple months, so hopefully will hit 100 by EOY.

My total by brand:

W - 18
Westin - 39 (my go-to brand)
Le Meridien - 9
Sheraton - 18
Element - 1
Aloft - 1
4P - 1

Anyone else done a similar analysis?

No element, no aloft and no W so far.

Still counting the rest...

May be I have forgotten some and I am sure it is so...

Well, it doesn't sound like much, but some of these are multiple stays, due to the location near offices I used to go to:

In ten years as a plat, I can remember off the top of my head 127 Starwood properties at which I've stayed (listed in order of brand preference):

This exercise of trying to remember them was kind of fun, especially since about 90% of the stays were for leisure . :)

Glad I could create some fun for everyone! I'm impressed that you were able to do this off the top of your head - I created a spreadsheet and mapped it out by brand & US/OUS, and even then had to consult the directory a few times :D

This is a tough exercise, I cannot remember all the *W hotels I stayed in the US. It's much easier to remember European and Asian *W hotels. Over the years some of the properties rebadged, so this list is the hotel brand when my stays occurred. A number of Indain hotels I cannot assign, since I don't know what brand would ITC's be considered. I'm surprised that I remembered more Westins than Sheratons.

Totally off-topic but I just learned through this post that Sheraton Alpenhotel Spitzingsee is no longer Starwood. Funny that the SVO representative in Cancun (Westin Lagunamar) just showed this property to me as an example, where I could use my Starpoints :-) I guess they should update their sales material...
