If you just hit 50 nights, then it should have clicked over when you hit Gold earlier this year. I'm pretty sure we've established that it's an "elite" counter, which means Gold elite causes it to increment. There's no change when you hit PLT for the year - no "Platinum counter". (Which would be nice - I needed to contact CS to confirm that 10 of my 11 elite years are PLT).

So it sounds like you need to wait until you hit Gold in 2014 to get 5 years and lifetime Gold.

You could contact CS to confirm. (And if you do, please update the Lifetime thread - there was an ongoing conversation on this very topic)

Just passed 50 nights. At 21 stays and 54 nights right now. Usually don't get this many nights but had some business stays as well as multiple rooms several times. It adds up. I guess I should hit the 75 night plateau for the first time and get some bennies.

Whoo - passed 75 nights again! Sigh, but like last year, I don't think I'll hit 100

Will Re-qualify this weekend with my 25th stay (30 nights). Really mad at myself for doing the Hyatt Diamond Challenge at the beginning of the year.

2014 Platinum Requalification Roll Call

Just came to 23/55, aiming at 75 nights for the first time. Also hit all 9 brands...fingers crossed ! Lifetime is probably happening some point in 2014.

Last week I hit 25 stays with only 31 nights. Guess I bounce around too much.

The year to date count does not include the one time I stayed entirely on points. The hotel clearly had my spg number and I used SNU's on it. Anyone else had that problem before ? How did you fix it? If you know, thanks in advance for sharing. Calling in has got me nowhere so far.

75 vs 100 - difference?

Is the Ambassador the only real difference between 75 and 100 plat? If so, is it worth it?

When people say "is it worth it" I always ask, how do you value your loyalty? Every person will have a different opinion.

AFAIK, 100 nights only gets you an Ambassador.

Maybe read this discussion thread to see if you think it's worth it:

I think it is. I feel like I have received more upgrades as Plat Ambassador then I was prior. Although it is just a feeling and I am staying at different properties. Still, I have been upgraded more than in the past - and feel like I'm being treated better upon arrival. Not always, but def noticeable.
