Going to be in a similar situation as you in 2 years. Would be great if there was some sort of LT plat challenge... I don't think I'll hit plat for 10 years, but will definitely reach 500 nights by my 5th year of plat.

There is, but it takes ten years to complete, minus one year for every year you've already reached Platinum.

2014 Platinum Requalification Roll Call

Just checked in at the Plaza Athenee in Bangkok for stays 24 and 25.

On Dec 20th I had 15. Since then:
-2 stay Mattress Run at the Charlotte, Pineville Four Points. (cash)
-Two stays at the LAX Gateway Sheraton (cash)
-Two stays at the Hong Kong Sheraton Towers. (cash)
-Two stays at the Sheraton Hua Hin, Thailand (Points)
-And the Plaza Athenee, Bangkok, two stays, (Points)

Travelling with my two 20something daughters, so I had to get 2 rooms.

Oh, 43 nights.

Nothing like waiting til the last minute!

Very nice property! We are celebrating NYE at the property because we have an 1100 flight to start our homeward journey. Ring in the New Year and get some sleep.

Some confusion about the two rooms posting as one stay instead of two, so not sure if the system recognised my 25 stays by 31 Dec 2014 or not.

The clock is down to zero stays/ zero nights now, so not sure if according to spg records, I have re-qualified or not. Do people who re-qualify get an email saying they have re-qualified as platinum? Or is there a way to find out the expiry date of my platinum status from my spg.com account?

Don't want to call spg platinum as it will add to the confusion that has already been caused.

23 stays, 50 nights, with 3 Caesar's nights posting on 1.1.2015 (but clearly for a DEC 19 checkin), as well as a 4 night and then 1 night stay at Le Meridien Hamburg ending the 31st.

I received an email with the following subject "You've Earned Elite Platinum Status".

Did you receive that for your last stay of 2014 or a previous year? (Just wondering about the processing time)

Sad, but I re-qualified already back at start of July.
Ended up staying at some other hotel brands for rest of year and didn't do 100 level because in other threads, apparently Ambassador isn't worth it.

Anyway, they sent me the SNAs upon re-qualification, but I didn't get the email to choose the Platinum Gift. When does the Platinum Gift email get sent out?
