I've had no issues with Virtuoso / Starwood Luxury Privileges 3/4 night offers posting to both my client's SPG and my own personal SPG Pro. Maybe you could allow William to be more specific about your two bookings in question spgplat21? Seems like an odd change.

William can post anything he thinks might be helpful to the group, but I'm not sure what else he can add beyond the following to make it more clear.

I went to https://www.americanexpressfhr.com/ and searched for two three day periods in March for New York City. I ended up booking a third night free offer at the Chatwal for the second week of March and a third night free offer at the St. Regis for the first week of March. A couple days later I tried to add SNAs to the reservations, and the platinum chat agent told me they were ineligible rates. That seemed wrong based on everything I've ever read about FHR rates so I emailed the lurkers with the confirmation numbers, and received confirmation that they were ineligible rates.

They weren't prepaid and the third night free offers are both still available on the FHR website for anyone that wants to take a look. Admittedly, this was a small sample size, so I'd be really curious to hear from others.

Also, it's probably not helpful to just confirm that you received points since hotels may reward points as a courtesy or by mistake, but any recent confirmations from people that were able to add SNAs would probably add some clarification as to what may or may not qualify as an eligible rate going forward.

Any updates on using similar Virtuoso offers would be helpful as well. It would certainly limit the value of the Amex platinum card if FHR rates (which are often identical to Virtuoso) were the only ones that were ineligible.

spgplat21 I have checked 3 SPG stays under a Luxury Privileges promotion with a complimentary night and all have posted the SPG points to the account. Luxury Privileges is similar to Virtuoso

still seems like an odd FHR change. Maybe it was a one off or a data entry error by someone on property.

This must have been the case. I re-checked the rate plan that spgplat21 booked for the same hotel just now and it says: SPG Point Eligible - Y

Earlier when I had checked it said: SPG Point Eligible - N

I had 3 FHR stays booked and after reading this thread asked my Ambassador to confirm they were eligible. 2 were one wasn't was the response I got, however could see no reason it was not as according to FHR terms they should be.

A week or so later and after my Ambassador escalated that stay is also now eligible. It was a stay with a free night and apparently just been coded into system incorrectly.

Just booked "The Nines" (a luxury collection hotel) in Portland through AMEX Platinum Travel Services, had them add my SPG number to the account, within 10 minutes the stay is showing up in my SPG app so things seem to be working fine, I'll report back after my stay to confirm I got my stay/night credited to my account and my SPG points.

Have an upcoming stay at the St. Regis Shanghai, which opened May last year. I booked using FHR rate, however, when I pull up the rate description in SPG, it shows (emphasis mine):
Ax Fine Htls/resorts. Daily Breakfast For 2, Vip Treatment;usd100 F&b And Spa Credit Per Stay;early C/i And, Gtd Late C/o At 4 ;u/g To Next Category (sub To Availability);amex Welcome Letter For Fh&r Guests,no Elite Benefits For All
SPG Lurker, can you confirm that this is indeed the policy, or perhaps a mistake as the hotel is still new and figuring things out?

It may be a mistake or not; however, you would need to send us the confirmation number to the email address below in order for us to follow up.
