Which redemption award to use?

I am looking at Le Meridien Grand Hotel Nurnberg - category 4. I don't know if Sheraton Carlton is better (also cat 4), but it is not available.

Choice 1: Nights and Flights - 70k for 50k miles and 5 nights at hotel
Choice 2: 5th night free - 40k points
Choice 3: Cash and Points - 4k + $60/night Superior or Deluxe room

Nonrefundable room rates for the dates of travel are: 154 euro (apprx $192) for Superior and 173 euro (apprx $216) for Deluxe.

Which option is better? Or Option 1 without any doubt?

Depends on if you need miles or not. I have too many airline miles, so I would never redeem hotel points for miles. As for me, I usually do the C&P. It would save you about $180/night (assuming including taxes would be $240/night - $60 you will spend). And it would cost you 4K SPG. A rate of about $.045/point. Not bad. If you did all points, it would have a cost of about $1200 (5 nights x $240/night), so the cost per point would be about $.03. Still better for C&P for me, and I value my SPG at more than $.03. I only use all point redemptions if there's no C&P available, and the room rate is outrageous. Otherwise, I'd just pay for the room (but my preference is C&P when available.
