Only smoking rooms at Westin Nagoya
 

I asked the Chat person on SPG.com this question, and she replied they do not have non-smoking rooms.

Question: Does the Westin Nagoya have smoke-free rooms on any dates?
All I see is this "Smoke-free rooms not available for your dates".

Answer: They do not appear to have non-smoking rooms.

Sure, there are a lot of smokers in Japan, but rates have been decreasing, and now only 37% of males smoke (less than some European countries). You would think Westin could provide at least 50% non-smoking rooms.

Isn't Westin 100% Non-Smoking? Or is that just in the US?

I found this link ... so I guess its unclear to me but it looks like it might not be smoke free.

I would be surprised if Starwood doesn't require that the hotel provide some nonsmoking rooms, even in places where the law doesn't require it.

FWIW, a couple years ago there were smoking rooms in the Westin Tokyo, so at that time Westin wasn't smoke free worldwide.

Got this response, so it seems they do have them (for rooms with smaller beds at least).

We can offer non-smoking Standard twin room and Standard single room.
If you would like to have any other room types, we will parepare cigarette smell eliminated room for you.

Odd the website only showed this message for any date I entered:

Smoke-free rooms not available for your dates.
Accessible rooms not available for your dates.
禁煙ルームは、お選びになった日付ではご利用いただけません。

You also need to be careful when booking on line as the default on spg.com is either a smoking room or no preference. You either need to book in a way that confirms a nonsmoking room or call Starwood to arrange that the room be de-smoked before your arrival.

Looks like non-smoking is available, but not bookable online. One needs to add it as a message request or call/email.
