It can take up to 7 business days from the day you qualified for your Lifetime Platinum status to be picked up by the system.

Starwood / Marriott merger
Q : What will happen to my Lifetime Status when the programs merge together in the future?
A : Rest assured we will always recognize your Lifetime Status, whether it is today in your earned program or in the future with a new, combined program.

At this point in time, I don't see any reason to mattress run for the 20 nights. The programs are not expected to merge until 2018, so I'd just be sure to focus on Starwood through 2017.

If you had asked before the merger was finalized, then that MIGHT be different.

I was there 3 yrs ago as a LT Gold and didn't receive any recognition.
Currently at the Laguna staying in deluxe studio similar to jr suite. They are upgrading us to executive suite tomorrow when one becomes available. Had no offer of massage voucher a bit miffed as this is our fifth stay with them (am LT Platinum) wonder if I should ask (I hate asking for things, very unbritish!)
Always have been treated really well at this property

I would politely ask. Say a friend was offered a massage cert for being LT Gold and you were wondering if you're eligible as well.

Sheraton Tokyo Bay offers LT Golds and Plats upgraded amenities, one of which is free breakfast in the main restaurant instead of only just the lounge.

Thanks but won't bother as many spas close by. We outspa'd ourselves in Ubud. This hotel is really lovely though and great plat treatment. Doubt they can match at Marriott!

But free is free! You really should find out and let us know for the other LT Golds and Plats that will come after you.

I'm new to this forum. I tried searching but the search engine wasn't too helpful. What is the quickest way to earn elite SPG status? I am gold but looking to move up. I have Hilton Diamond status (does that help? I'd there a Staus match??
Thanks

Hi Jigger,

By policy, SPG does not match status with any other hotel frequent stay programs.

If you would be interested in completing a stay challenge to reach Platinum in SPG with 18 elite qualifying nights credited to your account in a 90-day window of opportunity, please contact Platinum Concierge directly. They will be able to determine your eligibility, answer any questions you may have, and help you determine the best time frame to register.

You can reach Platinum Concierge by phone at 888-625-6991 or by email at [email protected].

I'm at 7 years Platinum ... so would "theoretically" qualify for LTP in 2019. I'm not liking my chances of being happy with this merger!

I wouldn't generally be pessimistic; if it weren't for what became of my lost hope for AA LTP after the US-AA merger.

Is anyone still able to see the Lifetime X counter 'dial' when logged into SPG? I just qualified for Lifetime Gold last week (had 3 nights left) but can no longer find where the counter lives on the site.

Yes, I see this no problem. Are you looking at the Dashboard? spg.com/dashboard

When you are logged in to your SPG account is there a link to take you to your dashboard?

And a quick one ,hopefully, for the Lurkers. In your 10th year of platinum when do you become lifetime platinum-when you reach 500 nights,at the end of the year or some other time.My official 10th year of platinum is 2018 but I will start the year with over 500 nights and will have stayed at least 50 nights in 2017.
Thanks.

You will receive Lifetime Platinum status once you have met the 10th year of Platinum requirements.
Our system will scan weekly to identify members who have achieved Lifetime Platinum status. A service email will be generated to the member, welcoming them to their new and permanent loyalty level with Starwood.

Hope this helps.

So as the years to LTP on the last 2 years on my dashboard changed when the 50th night posted does that mean in the 10th year when the 50th night posts or the 500th total night?
Sorry it is not clear to me from your answer.
