It can take up to 7 business days from the day you qualified for your Lifetime Platinum status to be picked up by the system.

Q : What will happen to my Lifetime Status when the programs merge together in the future?
A : Rest assured we will always recognize your Lifetime Status, whether it is today in your earned program or in the future with a new, combined program.

Please forgive me if these questions have been asked and answered. I've searched and browsed this and other threads and can't find the answers:
. . .
2) The lifetime status tracker on my SPG dashboard tells me I have 7 lifetime years of elite status, but it doesn't tell me how many of these are Platinum. I think the number is two or three, which combined with my MR Gold/Platinum years might qualify me for lifetime Platinum as soon as the programs are combined. Is there any way to tell? (I called SPG and talked to a couple of customer service representatives who said they couldn't tell.)
. . .
Thanks so much for any information you might be able to share.

When you are on your SPG Dashboard click the Lifetime tab. The graph will tell you how many nights remaining to Lifetime Platinum and how many Platinum years remaining to Lifetime Platinum. Subtracting that Platinum years number from 10 will tell you how many of your 7 Elite years have been Platinum.

Thanks, but this did not work for me. When I click the Lifetime tab it just tells me how many "Elite" years I have and how many years (0) and nights (128) left to Lifetime Gold. I can't find a way to change the graphic to tell me how many years and nights I would need for LT Platinum -- maybe this appears only for those who are already LT Gold? But Starwood Lurker happened to see my post and has sent me the missing information by private message. Thanks to all.

i don't believe anything is going to be subtracted....if your dashboard shows 122 lifetime nights then you have 122 lifetime nights that will be added to your marriott total....

Hm, made it to LTP 2 months ago... no welcome mail, no welcome package, etc.... only a silent change in the system that I noticed in the SPG app. :/

I've been greeted as Lifetime Platinum (SPG) a couple of times now, but I'm nowhere near yet. I suspect that the Ambassador status triggers something in people's heads/ process which is similar to Lifetime Platinum.

In case you haven't checked lately, they updated the language out at https://members.marriott.com/benefits/
So if you want to get into LTPPE status, you have until 12/31 to do so. There will not be an opportunity to do so after (unless they further change the program). Also, the combined nights and years at platinum will be used. My ambassador suggested I verify with Marriott that they would count my 2 years of Platinum from several years ago in addition to the 9 I have with SPG. They told me yes. The other option was to race out and get 75 MR nights by year end to "double qualify" in both programs this calendar year which I didn't really want to have to do.

Is it still possible to earn Marriott lifetime Gold status using the old SPG criteria (250 nights/5 years gold) for the reminder of 2018? Thanks.

May I ask what leads you to believe that? I hope you're right, but the extra LT extra nights I have in the account since 18Aug in no way make up for the current YTD nights lost. I hope they correct it all as I've finessed my account to achieve LTPP and Ambassador for next year. Extra LT nights mean nothing in the new program once you've passed 750, but YTD nights can offer a level above that, and that is what's causing my angst.

Is there a lifetime tracker on the new Marriott website? I can't find it.

2) A drop-down menu appears. Select Overview.
3) in the middle of the page which loads from Overview, you'll see your current status. Just below that, you'll see your Lifetime status (using the infinity sign).
4) To the right of the Lifetime status, click on the small, right arrow. A detailed page will appear showing your combined SPG and MR nights, and years of status. Below that will appear the levels of Lifetime status and qualification requirements. (On my site views, Platinum Premier level is not shown as a level.)
