I reached 50 nights with SPG and got my 10 SNA's.

I am now at 100 nights after combining and got the offer to select my gift at reaching 75 nights.

I opted for 5 SNAs.

Shouldn't I now have 15 SNA's in total?

My balance still shows 10!

Just received confirmation that our SNA at the Prince de Galles (award stay) cleared.

That is our first SNA in the Marriott era and it keeps our success-rate record intact.

Has the time frame for applying SNAs changed? I tried to do so with a reservation at a Marriott for this Friday, but got a message online stating that SNAs could not be added. When I spoke with the Marriott elite line, the agent informed me that the deadline to apply SNAs is T-5 days and because we were at T-4 days, it was too late. This is a property that clearly has suites available for booking (which I understand doesn't necessarily equate to SNA clearance), but I wasn't even allowed to apply them in the first place. My recollection was that, under SPG, we could apply SNAs up to the day before, and in fact I had SNAs clear for reservations booked two or three days out.

I get that too and my SNAs were never returned. You'll probably have to call in to apply the SNAs.

Hello silentbob1974,

To clarify any confusion, SNAs can be requested any time prior to 2PM, hotel time, the day before arrival with a confirmed reservation. However, the system will find a match for a Suite Night Award between 5 days prior to arrival and 2PM on the day prior to arrival.

Anyone else having issues with applying SNA today?

On my reservation page (on spg site) there is no option to start upgrade process for my latest reservation. Upon calling earlier Im told their system is down and to call back in an hour. Called back 5 hours later and they say no Suite Night Award options available. This seems odd to me as Ive never seen a full service hotel not offer at least a corner room or some other slightly upgraded choice to choose from and in my case the hotel is selling many premium room types, junior suites, regular suites etc.

St Regis Aspen. Ive never seen a property not even offer some minor upgraded option, even four points often have corner rooms or something similar as an option. Perhaps this is common though and I have just never come across a situation where properties are selling premium rooms and suites but not accepting SNA requests.

Perhaps they were sold out for some of the time during your stay; you can’t get upgraded to a nicer room if the nicer room isn’t available fo the entirety of your stay. There’s also only 25 total suites among the hotel’s 154 total rooms, and hotels don’t have any obligation to upgrade to their specialty suites. So suite upgrades here obviously are tougher to come by. It’s an extremely high occupancy property, especially during ski season. It’s pretty difficult to offer any upgrade when a hotel is sold out or it has so few rooms and suites.

I also don’t think Four Points have much to do with St Regis.

I thought the issue was applying an SNA not confirming an upgrade. OP obviously has a reservation and just wants to apply SNA to it. The system will decide whether SNA is accepted or not but there’s no reason to block it in advance.

OP, I would call CS for assistance in applying the SNA.

Your interpretation is correct, I have a reservation and was trying to apply a SNA. The hotel was selling multiple higher category rooms on the website yet unwilling to accept a SNA request. Ive called and emailed a number of times and got a variety of answers including our systems are down, to the latest that no suites are available for SNA. I guess it is just not meant to be this time around.

This was my first attempt applying a SNA after the merger and I was just trying to get others input if they were seeing other properties refuse to even accept SNA requests on a reservation.

Maybe the Lurkers can look into this. I didn’t think a St Regis could “opt out” of the SNA program!
