2012 Q1 Promo, -- Let The Speculation Begin!!

These threads are always entertaining; who wants to be first up?

PhillyPhlyer40 Nov 2, 2011 6:10 am

I will.... :p

100X points available for all hotels for bookings that include at least a stay of 29 consecutive days with a rate of $500 or more per night. :D

isn't it a little early to speculate????we still have 2 more months to go....

gdemander Nov 2, 2011 7:01 am

I totally came to FT today thinking whether or not anyone had ideas about the next promo.

I want the double, triple, quadruple points from Q1 2009.

Or anything points related. Particularly more nights, more points. Nothing stay related.

fandu Nov 2, 2011 7:02 am

As long as it does not have a long list of non-participating hotels.

Never too early. Plus, what else are we going to do? The speculation thread won't overload the interwebs and always provides at least some form of mild entertainment.

- 10x points for all stays. 20x if the stay includes a day ending in "y".

- Platinum cards will actually be made of Platinum.

- Free night for all Platinum members, anywhere in the world (even non-SPG properties), and all travel expenses to get to the hotel's city are paid for.

- 500 bonus points everything time you think about SPG.

aaand...

- New luggage tags (actually they're just leftovers from the last promotion)

Just you wait. :)

Free meals and minibar during all stays

For 2012, there will be twelve participating properties each night, Starwood will not reveal which ones, and the 12th person who checks in that night will get 12 points.

Great deal ! It means at least 2 871 000 bonus starpoints for any eligible stay :D

For everything which will have to be repaired during may stays one bottle of champagne and for every tenth of them one free night in cat. 7 or two free nights in cat. 6 or three free nights in cat. 5 and so on...

I have it from a very reliable source that the person who stays the most nights at each SPG property in Q1 will get free stays at that property for a year and a conference room named after them. The runner-up will get a plaque in the ladies room.

I'm hoping for them to bring back the Free Resort Nights or Free Weekend Nights! Everytime they offer it it is during a quarter when I don't travel :(

UA-NYC Nov 2, 2011 11:15 am

The Q1 promotion will actually be an internal promotion only, with the goal of getting 100% property participation in the end customer-focused Q2 promotion :D
