SPGHotelPlus 500 pts question

SPGHotelPlus 500 pts question
Just saw the banner on the spg website stating, "SPG Hotels Plus: Earn 500 Starpoints per night when you add air, car, or local activities to your stay".

If I book my car through that website, then hotel hop throughout my 4 day stay, would I get 2k pts or just 500. How do they know I am staying 4 times that week and that car falls into all of those different reservations.
Then also, please add hertz to the rental cars so I can utilize my gold status there

Here's another question: if I have an award stay and make an SPG+ in connection with that, would I still earn 500 points per night?

Does anyone know what the cheapest activity would be? Delta.com used to have a similar promotion and I would book an airport transfer (which I needed anyway) and earn a nice bonus each time.
